Hi, I’m an 18-year-old international student studying in the United States. I am currently going to a community college and I am planning to pursue a career in teaching. I want to help children have a better impact from teachers in the United States like teachers have impacted me from when I was a child. Sadly, I can no longer afford to pay tuition despite being on a payment plan because times have become tough and I no longer have a steady source of income. Because I’m an international student, I cannot take out loans, nor are there a lot of available scholarships that I can apply for. My family and my SO’s family have sent me money as much as they can, but are no longer able to. We’ve been selling furniture and valuable items just to be able to afford bills and my tuition. I just want to be able to pay for this semester for the time being. My plans after leaving Community College are to attend Texas State University and pursue a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. However, this cannot be done if I don’t pay this semester’s tuition. If I am unable to pay, my F-1 Visa will no longer be active and I will be forced to leave the country. I don’t want to waste the money that has already been given to me from friends and family. I want to help children have a better impact from teachers in the United States like teachers have impacted me from when I was a child.
I was born in Quebec, Canada, and I’ve been a good student all my life. I met my SO, who lives in the United States and decided that I want to live with him. I also have been wanting to become a teacher, especially in the United States due their lack and necessity of teachers. My grades are 85% and up, with the semester not being finished yet. I want to be able to start a career in teaching in the United States and I cannot do so without any help. It would mean the world to me if someone were to just donate a dollar. Any dollar is amazing and very appreciated. I usually never resort to begging but I’ve never been so desperate. All I’m asking for is your kindness and understanding. I will be forever thankful for those who choose to donate.
