As stated, my name is Chinenye Anagor and I am an International Master’s student from Nigeria. Things have been very hard in my country and my family decided that it would be best to send of of their children to North America to be a bale to create a better life for our family. We searched for the cheapest schools in Canada which also is in an area with relatively low cost of living, we found the University of Regina to be one of the cheapest schools to attend here in Canada. My family members went ahead to sell all they could to be able to get me into the university here but unfortunately, what we could put together was only able to cover my first year of study. I assured them that they had done enough already and that I had heard that I would be able to work some hours as a student, and I planned that with that I could be able to support myself the rest of my studies.
I came to Regina as optimistic as I could be and started immediately to search for jobs. I was not searching for high end jobs, but basic jobs in supermarkets, cleaning jobs and also kitchen jobs; I attended countless interviews both over the phone and in person but so far I have not gotten a call back from any of the interviewing companies. I had applied in places like Walmart, shoppers drug mart, home depot, Real Canadian superstore, best buy, value village and countless other stores and warehouses and I will not stop anytime soon. I believe that with a little more effort, I will get something for myself.
I will not say I deserve your help, because for one to be willing to help others is a rare privilege for whoever receives it but I hope that I have shown so far how much effort I put into making sure I get myself on my feet and possibly never have to beg again.
It is also not necessary for you to consider the whole amount that I have stated, as I only wanted to show that amount that would make sure I do not have to worry about any other school fees for the rest of my studies. Any form of assistance will be very much appreciated wholeheartedly.
