My name is Tracie, In 2009 I began my college career in hopes of becoming an RN. In 2011 I got married and my husband became sick and unable to walk, we learned a tumor had formed on his spinal cord. My husband had surgery and there were some complications, He made a full recovery, however his job would not let him return to work full time, they put him on an as needed basis because they were worried about him hurting his back, although he had a release from the doctor. During this time I had to quit school to take care of him while he was healing and to take on full time work. Ultimately we where not able to make ends meet and had to move in with my in-laws out of state. I continued to mail payments by check to my previous college, one day I received an envelope with all the checks I had mailed in it. I called the college and they said they could not accept payment by check and in order to accept payment by debit over the phone I would have to come in and sign a paper. I explained I live out of state. Time passed and the amount was written off. This year (2018) I requested my transcripts and was informed that I would have to pay $15.oo and my account would be cleared and I could transfer, so I paid the $15 and got my transcripts and returned to college. I finished the fall semester with an A average :). When trying to register for the spring 2019 semester I was informed that I could not register for anymore classes until the balance at my previous institution was paid in full, I called the previous college and they in formed me that when I paid the $15 it did release my account, however it also reversed the write off and I now owe the remainder of the balance. I was so frustrated! I cried! Here I am I paid all my savings to attend fall semester, I nearly got fired from my job when I announced I was returning to school because they would have to allow me one weekday a week off. And now this! I feel hopeless, if I don’t get the amount paid by January I won’t be able to apply to the program for another whole year.
I know reading this probably doesn’t make sense, but the college I attended 2009-2011 was very unprofessional and behind the times. It was a poor decision to attend that college.
Please help me pay off my previous college once and for all so I can have educational freedom. My life will change so much for the better once I complete the program and have a new career!
The amount needed to pay off the college is $1849.00
Thanks in advanced.
