Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to read this, it means more than you know. I am in need of raising money to pay for medical school and to allow my fiance and I to provide for ourselves and for my mother. Medical school is extremely expensive (over $50,000 a year for tuition alone without cost of living) and I am in need of assistance to provide for my family, pay bills, and pay for my medical schooling.
Normally, I would not ask for assistance, but it has come to the point that anything will really help me get to the next step in our lives. My father is in a nursing home from a brain injury which built my initial interest in medicine. I have always enjoyed helping others and my desire to become a physician that builds lasting and meaningful relationships with their patients is endless. I have witnessed the spectrum of empathy physicians display during my upbringing with my father constantly in and out of the hospital which has developed me into the person I am today and the physician I want to be. I have worked several jobs through my college career and now the bills continue to pile up higher and higher with more of life’s events being thrown at us. We are planning to get married this year and move on to the next step in our lives whether that be try to get more ground under our feet before I would attend medical school or attend medical school and fight through it. Education to me is one of the biggest and greatest investments that I take very seriously and one day I wish to continue to pay things forward. I will give the shirt off my back to anyone in need, but right now, I need to really consider what we need.
We have been able to get by, but in these tough times for all, things are piling up more than before and it has become excessively stressful to focus on education while working in order to pay bills each month. If this was not a major stressor in our lives, I would not even consider asking for assistance. I do not know what will come of this request but I ask that you please consider and see that this is not just a donation but an investment in society to a future physician that will not see his patients as a number but as a person to develop a meaningful and lasting relationship with and that will go the extra mile to make sure you or your loved one will have a better quality of life.
Any donation would be extremely meaningful to me and just your time to take to read a little bit about my situation is very meaningful to me. Thank you for all that you do in helping others, I one day strive to be able to give back and be there for those who need it most. Again, thank you for your time, thoughts, and prayers.
