Hello, I graduated from college about a year ago and I am having an extremely difficult time finding a job in my career field. I expected to have an easy time finding a job in Environmental Science, but so far no employer is responsive. I have had my resume/CV edited professionally multiple times and I have included every bit of information that would benefit me in a job application process. As a recent graduate, I have yet to gain the experience required for most of these jobs on the market. Some are out of my commute range, and I cannot afford to move. I am trying so hard to find a job, and I pray for one every night. If anyone has any open job positions, I am based in the Tampa, FL area.
I am drowning in two separate loans, over $15,000+ between the two. My family fell into the category where they made too much money for me to get scholarships and grants, but not enough to afford to send me and my sibling to college. This resulted in me having to take out loans all four years of University just so that I had a chance to earn my degree. I would like to pay my loans off as soon as I could to avoid paying thousands in interest. I owe rent to my roommates for the past couple of months, they are being extremely generous and patient with me. I have a part time job but I cannot get scheduled enough hours to pay rent and the minimum required payments on my student loans. I apply to different jobs left and right but so far no luck.
On top of rent and loan payments, I have groceries, prescriptions, and car payments to make. I also have a rescue dog that comes with his own prescriptions and medical bills. I have survived this long by living off of my childhood savings but that will soon be running dry. While I am still looking for a career position, I think I will end up having to get a second or third job. It will be difficult to work with the schedule I have at my current job, as my shift hours change from week to week and it is not very flexible.
Any donation would be very appropriated, and the generosity would be payed forward once I can stand up on my own again.
