Hello, my name is JJ and I’m pretty much a broke college student. I know that there are probably loads of other people out there that need money (so many people do) but I’m hoping that you’ll take a second to consider donating to me.
As I’ve said, I’m a college student currently studying psychology. My ultimate goal is to become a practicing clinical psychologist. I’ve always wanted to help people and I work hard and am really good at psychology (no, I’m not bragging), but that isn’t really enough to cover all of my costs. Because I’m a full-time student and I am involved in things on campus, I can only really have one part-time job, so I work about twenty to twenty-five hours every week, but it’s at minimum wage and I need to pay for my groceries, gas, insurance, etc. so most of that money goes towards that.
To be honest, I can get by, I always have been able to but it is a struggle. I’m in my last year of undergrad and I’ve had to pay to take the GRE test which has taken a significant chunk out of my savings. Mostly, I need money to help build my savings so I am able to go to grad school and actually live. I need to be able to afford an apartment and the rest of my expenses (like food, gas, and other bills).
I’m pretty much a straight-A student with a GPA of 3.8 and all I really want to do is help people any way that I can and I know that clinical psychology is the right field for me to accomplish it. However, I am extremely worried about being about to do so. I am not a partier nor am I in the habit of purchasing unnecessary things so any money that is donated will not be used to buy things like that. Instead, one of my favorite things to do is cook, so any money that is not immediately put into my savings account will be used for my weekly grocery bill.
Depending on the donation, I will also use that money towards my tuition and other schooling bills. I have taken a loan out, but to be honest, I would really rather not borrow any more money than I already have to cover those costs. I will also need to purchase textbooks and a couple of other odds and ends that add up (like notebooks, pens, toiletries, etc.)
Really, any donation would be extremely helpful, whether its a couple dollars or more and I would very much so appreciate it. Thank you so much!
