I am in desperate need of financial assistance! I was already awarded a $1,000 Scholarship to HACC for the 6 month Medical Cannabis Business Specialist course ($3,800). But unfortunately i was mistaken and thought I had the 6 months to make the 3 equal payments of $967. Boy O Boy was i wrong. I need to have those 3 payments paid in full before class starts. (sad emoji) I was so disappointed because I really thought that I was already going to be in college. I have never wanted anything more or been so motivated in my life then this. I am a 38 year old single mother of 5 beautiful children-one who is special needs. Living paycheck to paycheck is not working for me as the sole provider for my children. I struggle to put food on the table and clothes on their backs. Having a job isn’t enough; only a career would help me accomplish the goals I have set in place for myself and family. I don’t want to be a statistic living on government assistance any longer, I want to be a part of the low percentage of people who rise from poverty. I want my children to see me succeed because of my work ethic, dedication, and determination. I am well prepared to go beyond giving my all and would be forever grateful for this opportunity. I have decided to pursue a career in the Medical Cannabis industry for personal and professional desires. I have compassion for people who suffer medical conditions. I lost my mother just a few years ago to cancer. My heart aches at the memories of seeing her deteriorate from all the chemicals and radiation. I am aware of the ever expanding benefits of MMJ (Medical Marijuana) and can’t help but think if it was available to her (RSO) that maybe her last weeks would have been different. I am yearning to educate myself on MMJ, so i can however help those who continue to suffer and get informed of a healthier all-natural alternative. I wish to be considered for financial assistance because, as mentioned, I have a career plan in place. I have decided i want to be an Organic extraction Technician which requires a 4 year Bachelor degree in Chemistry. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step” (Lao Tzu). That first step starts with me completing the Medical Cannabis Business Specialist course at HACC. I will be smarter, stronger, and more prosperous while expanding my opportunities in the legal Cannabis industry. I also need to be able to provide my children with financial stability and lead by example; their educational future depends in it. Receiving funding will financially assist me in reaching my personal and professional goals by reducing financial concerns which will then allow me to focus on my career path. Also it will significantly reduce my chances of dropping out due to high tuition payments. Having retained this knowledge will dramatically increase my chance of being employed in the MMJ industry. I hope to complete my Bachelor’s degree by 2025. I would be forever grateful and appreciative for this opportunity. Thank you for your time and consideration, have a good day.
