I am writing this in hopes of financial assistance for a dear friend who is in urgent need of financial help. She recently left an abusive relationship and is hoping for a new start for her and her four boys.Her husband is physically and verbally abusive. The most recent incident has left one of her sons with a brain injury. This was reported to authorities through the physician.
Prior to this incident, she had tried to get a restraining order in place to keep her husband from seeing them because she was concerned for the safety of both her children as well as herself. The judge did not grant it and shortly after that is when the damage was done to her son. She immediately left their home and got a place for her and her sons.
She works full time, has been dealing with pneumonia off and on, not to mention the day-to-day life with the 4 boys who are confused and angry at the situation. She has just been informed her rent will be going up $200 a month. Because of this increase, they are letting her leave without giving a 60-day notice. She has found an apartment to rent that is less money, but they want one month security deposit, which she doesn’t have. She has 2 weeks to find a way to pay for the security deposit and get moved. She mentioned putting everything in storage and finding somewhere to stay until she can get the money needed but I’m hoping for someone who has the means and a compassionate heart to help this amazing single mother and her 4 wonderful boys. They have been through so much and deserve something good to happen to them.
They have many obstacles ahead of them, including legal costs for a divorce and to help her gain full custody of the boys.
With her permission, I am asking for any assistance that can be offered to her. She is a wonderful mom, who is very optimistic that God will bring good out of this whole situation. She is one of the nicest people you could meet, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
