Hi, Thankyou for taking the time to read this post I cant believe it has come to this but I do not know where else to to turn.
I don’t really know where to start but here goes. A year ago I escaped from abusive relationship with my three young children. This resulted in me having to work part time around school hours to care for them. I already had a lot of debt due to any money being mine having to be handed over to my ex so he could “pay what needed paying” i was given money to buy food but this was limited. After he was removed from the home i began receiving letters that nothing had been paid I found letters hidden around the home for collections money owed late payments. I set to work trying to arrange payment plans and prioritise the debts. I was paying bare minimum off some and large amounts of others to keep the bailiffs away. on top of trying to keep up with regular rent payments. I was struggling but managing until around 5 months ago. It hit me all at once the years of abuse the constant fear of debts mounting up and the fear he was around every corner. I broke down i had to have time off work because I just could not cope. I gradually went back to work but the damage was done i’d got behind on payments i carried on as best i could for a while then it hit me one day enough was enough my children needed me to be okay. I went to the doctor Im now in counselling for PTSD and domestic abuse, With this help i know ill get there but right now i need help i have letters threatening notice to seek possession if i do not bring my rent up to date. I am trying to pay off the debts I have and my car has now broken down, meaning i am paying to get taxis to school and to work as the schools is 15 mins away in a car let alone walking with three young children. So this is where i have come to ask for some help.
I am currently sitting at
£800 in rent to pay on top of my monthly rent
£873 in council tax arrears
£600 for all the work on the car to get it going and a further
£380 for the parts that are as the mechanic described ready to go anytime.
I also have to have my garden up to scratch for a housing visit due in two weeks with no access to any garden items or the skip needed to clear it. This is due to having no money to but strimmer or lawn mower etc it has become overrun. if i don’t get this cleared it will result in a further fine/bill for the council to sort which i have been told will be around £500.
If anyone could spare any help so i can start tackling these things i would be forever grateful for your help.
