My name is Miranda and I am 28. I recently just got divorced after being married for 9 years. I am on this site to ask help for paying off a loan I had to to out to pay for my daughters psychiatrist and therapist appointments. Before my divorce I had a good paying job working in treatment for Addiction and mental health. I was finally able to get my kids a house with a backyard and into an amazing school. I was lucky to not have to pay for child care because my bestfriend moved in and lived with me for free in exchange to being the nanny. I worked my ass off to fulfill the dreams we had working 12-18 hour shifts sometimes pulling 3 8hr shifts in 24 hours. In between that I was taking too time off or had to leave work due to some behavioral issues my 10 year old was having at school. When we finally moved to our new house I had found out that my bestfriend relapsed and was doing heroin while watching my kids. So I had to remove that person and take time off work to find a new babysitter. Luckily I found one and returned to work. The amazing thing that I see now, is that when you can finally put your kids in a top school, well top for a public school, they really catch on to things. My 10 year old was diagnosed with ADHD at the end of kindergarten and had always been getting into trouble. But now signs had been coming out that it could be a lot more than just that. I had to quit my job due to having to leave too much and now living an hour away. I was sure everything would be fine until the school psychiatrist started talking about ODD ( A disorder in a child marked by defiant and disobedient behavior to authority figures.) And Conduct Disorder (a range of antisocial / sociopath types of behavior displayed in childhood). During this my 7 year old had told the school that we have no food and now CPS was at our door. Turns out my son was just super picky. My daughters behavioral issues just kept getting worse but the school therapist wasn’t experienced enough in child behavioral disorders so I have had to take her out to town psychiatrist trained to help. Since I am not working and the Bill’s have piled more and more I took out a $10,000 loan and now cant even make payments on that without being late on car payments or the gas bill/water bill. I called CPS back, and asked them to keep my case open so that I can try to get as much help as I can but free therapy means not educated enough for what my daughter needs. Once we get the right plan for her and in the right medications I can go back to work. My daughter is currently a danger to my other 2 children and I have to keep them separate most of the time. She has two no contact contracts against students and now is telling me a man speaks to her at night to hurt people. That is why I am here. I am asking for any help to put towards the loan and to continue the right path with experienced psychiatrist before CPS decides they want to remove her. This is probably the single most hardest thing I have had to ask for. Family has helped as much as they can. I definitely know that I won’t get the loan amount but anything helps at this point until I can get her started and get back to work. I appreciate your time reading this. I just want to keep my family together.
