My mother who raised me by herself is turning 60 and I want to get her the birthday present of a lifetime so she knows how special she really is to me.

Hi there everyone,

My mother is turning 60 this year and over the last five years it has been nothing but goddamn rough for her, we moved to this city of Tamworth to be closer with family and get my grandmother the care she need but in the case of our “family” they have all but abandoned us and my grandmother had passed away due to severe blood poisoning at the end of 2016 due to complications caused by an abusive nursing home which happened to be 5 days after her 55th birthday not to mention only a few years prior m grandfather had passed away soon after her 50th. Ever since we moved here, she has been unemployed but not by choice, she has tried her utmost to get a job however to no avail and I strongly believe it is mostly due to employers (around here at least) having a strong bias against older unemployed people who want to work and do the right thing. In all of this however, she has always supported my want and love to do music as it is something she wanted to do in her youth but couldn’t due to taking care of her parents from a young age and her father thinking it to be a laughable and “cringeworthy” path for her to go down but this year, however she said to me, “Christopher, I think I wanna pick up bass but I don’t think we can afford it.” So that is why I am reaching out here. Even through ALL of her struggles, I have gotten luxuries which I far don’t deserve and I honestly think it’s high time I surprised her with one hell of a birthday present.  The bass of her dreams is the Spector Dimension 5 bass which runs up around $3100 and since she is new I’ll need to get her an amp so for now I’ll say $3100 is the goal but if we can get more than that then I’ll be beyond thankful because I’ll finally get to repay my mother for all the good she has done for me over the years and all the experiences she has tried to give me. and any money over that initial $3100 will be used to get her an absolutely killer amp if possible or at least a start towards it. I genuinely do mean this when I ask, please if you can, help me make her 60th, the best birthday she’ll ever have.

Kind regards,
