Where do I start? Well I just moved to the state of Virginia from Michigan June 2020 with my soon to be ex-husband, 13-year-old son, 21-year-old daughter, and my 16 month old granddaughter. unfortunately in the last couple of months my husband and I have separated and I am in a very scary situation. I have been home taking care of our son due to him not being in school and also due to him having some health problems. My daughter recently was able to get a job so she can start helping me until I can find a job. I am watching my granddaughter until she can find a good daycare so that makes it a little harder for me to work right now also. I have no family here in Virginia that I could go stay with so I can’t afford to lose my home. I am trying to come up with my rent for February. My rent is $1,530 a month and I am so behind on my utility bills. My biggest concern is my rent because without a home I won’t need to worry about my utilities so if there is a way I could receive some help with my rent that would be amazing. I know that $1,530 is a lot to ask for so if you someone could help me with any amount that would be absolutely amazing.
I have applied for assistance through the state but that will take some time for all that to come through. I have been calling around trying to get help with my rent and or bills but most places won’t help with rent unless you are about to be evicted and I am trying my hardest not to get to that point. This has been so hard for me to keep it together and not let my kids see me breaking down. My daughter has been trying to help with the bills and food as much as possible. I just don’t know what else I could possibly due. I am in a state that I have no one to run to for help and a place to stay if I was to loose my home. Please if there is anyone willing to help me and my beautiful family I would be forever great full. Thank you to whom ever takes the time to read this and maybe even help me.
