Hello I’m Sarah Flannery,
I’m a 43 year old Mom of 3 Memaw of 4, a Geriatric Caregiver and just an all round caring woman who loves to help others. I have always enjoyed helping other people sometimes when I don’t even have it to give.
I do this mainly because I know what it feels like being alone, going without, being helpless, feeling hopeless and abandoned.
I was abused mentally, physically, emotionally and more growing up, and given to my kids Dad at 13, who also abused me. Yes, Life has been a battle field but I refuse to give up! I refuse to stop and I refuse to sit back and watch others suffer!!
I old 43 but have lived through and with so much pain and just fighting to stay above water so to speak that all I have is empathy.
Since a small child, I’ve dealt with several medical issues due to neglect, abuse and trauma and so on. Which I am actually grateful for because it gave me a the ability to understand the down side of life and different situations people find themselves in.
I’m asking for help with daily expenses, such as gas to take them to appointments, grocery stores and for parking, As well as food or medicine for people that don’t make enough to cover rent, food and medications.
Since I am volunteering and not getting any payment, I’m asking for financial assistance to pay month car insurance, to get my car inspected, it needs tires, and to keep my phone on so I can receive calls from those in need.
After noticing how many Elders are turned away from agencies because they can not afford to pay $25 an hour, I’ve decided to turn for help with funding and other opportunities so I can keep helping our poverty-stricken elderly.
People tend to remember the architects but forget those that actually made their visions come to life. I deeply enjoy helping others, especially our elderly, who made the life we have possible. Those amazing people who once stood up and would be considered middle class now are unable to do daily tasks or recover from illness. They are the ones who, with help, can stay in their homes; they just don’t have the resources to do so. I’m asking for financial assistance so I can keep helping these forgotten heroes receive care, support, transportation to appointments and enjoy their lives again.
