This is a little bit stressful to ask for help but I just don’t know what to do and I’m stuck in my current situation.
My name is Natalie and I am single mom of 3 years old boy.
Last year I’ve been a victim of domestic violence and when I reported my ex partner to the police and they arrested him, I took my son and we moved away.
My ex partner called our son only a couple of times after we left and he stopped keeping in touch and just left our boy.
When I was in relationship with him, everything was signed on my name, council tax bill, water bill, he didn’t have driving license so car was insured on my name and he was driving it and I couldn’t say a word… we took loan of £20000 (on my name) from my bank so he could pay off some off his court fine generated before we met but after years police was about to arrest him and I was pregnant so I didn’t want him to be arrested so I got this loan from the bank to pay his fines off…
I’ve got no support whatsoever from him or from my family.
I’ts hard… I was working in the factory and earning National minimum wage.. I was working from 6am to 2pm and I needed to find childminder (private) to come from Monday to Friday to my home from 5:30am to 7:30am to be here, make breakfast for my son and get him ready to nursery and drop him off. The nursery hours were too expensive as I needed to pay nearly £250/month.
I had nothing left from my wages for myself, nothing. Paying all bills and buying food – this is what I was spending money for so I had no savings at all.
In December 2020 just before Christmas I received 2 letters from Marston Holdings. One £190.50 and another one £225 to pay for some parking tickets I have no idea about. There are his tickets but I am responsible for it as car was insured on my name…
In January 2021 I received another 2 letters. One with the amount to pay of £816 and another with £998 , there two are from the Curt for not filling the driver details. My ex partner was speeding and letters were being sent to our old address as it took 5 months for DVLA to send me updated V5C, means to update the address but for some reason they kept sending letters there on the old address and exactly after one year from when I left I keep receiving high amounts to pay.
I got depressed in January 2021, I’m currently taking very strong antidepressants and tablets for panic attacks as I’m also having panic attacks…
I don’t know what to do, I’ve got about £15000 debts, I’ve lost my job, my landlord is harassing me as I’m unable to pay the rent, I don’t have money for food some days… I’m feeling horrendous. I thought I’ll create beautiful life for my son but I already destroyed it. I’ll be in debts till I die. I’m 27 and it’s just too much. The only reason why I’m still here is my son. He needs me.
Please can somebody help me just a little bit. I’m not asking for too much. Just please if you can I’m begging you to help me so I can stand up a little bit. I’m looking for job but I’m scared that I’ll get panic attacks when I’ll be at Ci work and everyone will say I’m mental. I don’t know what to do.
When I was doing well, my family, my sister, my brother were always talking to me but right now when I’m in soo many problems and issues around- there’s nobody to talk to.
