I never thought I’d be on a site like this but I have no where to turn but strangers. I have a situation where my 6 year old Autistic Daughter is at risk of going to foster care due to her mom being arrested (lives in Indiana) after going to a party where someone put Visine in an alcoholic beverage during a party she threw. She later became belligerent and it was reported began attacking guests, as well as tried to choke her 9 year old after she had the guts to ask why her mom was behaving like this…
Because our daughter was in the home she was included in the CPS case. I was contacted by the CPS on behalf of my daughter last Friday and was told that if I could go get her she will be excluded from the case allowing her to avoid what may come next in the case. And being mom has had two previous cases, it’s honestly not looking good.
I have until the end of April to get my daughter from the temporary placement she’s in or I run risk of not having her in my life again. I’m honestly shocked, and grateful they are giving me this leeway to get things in order. I was told to acquire adequate space for AJ and I accomplished that. I have child care assistance lined up, as well as medical and temporarily getting food aid, all of which has been a humbling experience to say the least, but for my daughter- I’m biting bullets. I am working as a server and my employer is aware of the situation and is helping me in a non-monetary but motivational way like helping me figure out a schedule schedule so I can transport her to and from day care . I’m grateful for that as well.
In the midst of all of this I have tried to get people to help transport me to Indiana as I live in North Dakota. I was adopted myself and don’t know my biological family and the friends or I’m learning “so called friends” concerning my daughter have been very unsupportive. I have been unsuccessful at getting donaruins as most of the country isn’t doing so well.
That said, I am in need of $824. This is enough for me to get a suitable rental car, have gas to get to and from Indiana, as well as emergency money for a cheap hotel in case anything happens where we need rest, and $20 will be budgeted for food along the way.
I hope I’m not asking for much. I’m really trying to be modest understanding it hard for people to give anything these day let alone what I’m asking for.
This is personally important to me because I don’t want my baby in the system. Either way I appreciate your time, and thank you for even considering….
