Greetings, salutations & blessings to anyone reading this communication. My name is Will (for short) and I am a single father of 4. One of the last things I want to do is put my personal business out in public however, my immediate scenario supersedes my point of view & pride – I need help and I need help; that is my reality. Back in 2018 my wife of over 2 decades decided to leave me/us in order to start her life over. Following that emotionally traumatic event, I assumed full 24/7 financial, physical, custodial responsibility for my children & home. Not shortly after this unforeseen shift in my household dynamic (not to mention the mental & emotional toll my kids & I underwent, faced & continue to work through till this day), Covid-19 surprised us & the world. I’ve been trying to budget, balance expenses & meet the needs of our home since then but, the living paycheck to paycheck scenario has become the impending norm, over the years, & my credit card balances are mostly maxed out – while the overly high interest rates negate the monthly payments I attempt to make beyond the minimum(s) due. I was also left with a timeshare that I am unable to afford hence, it currently sits in default, & has plummeted my credit score as a result. I’ve looked into programs for assistance but do not qualify for any here – in the state of New York (ex. SNAP/EBT). I am unable to borrow from my retirement account & a hardship withdrawal is not offered as an option within my employer-based plan. As the sole provider for my family, I’ve hit rock-bottom within my day-to-day journey & am looking for any help/assistance/donation anyone would be kind enough to assist us with to get rid of our immediate debt, be able to meet our utilities & rent expenses, medical bills & transportation costs – on a monthly basis. Due to my immediate debt, my credit score currently sits in the low 500’s & I do not qualify for any loans. My family is in need of a total of $25K in order to re-stabilize & continue forward, mentally & emotionally, without the impending debt burden looming over our household.
