Ever had one of those years where it could be considered both the best and worst year of your life? Yeah, that’s this year. Between starting a business in January, only to have it tank in October. There’s the wife who was having an affair but is still getting everything, and I mean everything in the divorce (apparently it was my fault because I worked too much and too hard to get a new business off the ground). Oh yeah – diagnosed with an extremely rare tumor called a Pheochromocytoma on my adrenal glad (go figure). However, The surgery went fine, the chemo suuuuuucks, but life is looking up.
How could it be a good year, you might ask? I met the love of my life by pure chance two months ago. The cancer isn’t a death sentence. I’m free of my first wife. Going through these things has given me a much better outlook on life, more positivity, and given me a fresh lease and a new perspective.
All that said, I need help. Financial Help to be specific. Bills, bills and bills have killed me and I need help finding someone or a company (bank, Loan company etc) willing to take a chance on me. My credit was destroyed in the divorce and I lost my business. My debt-to-income ratio is toast (at the moment). On paper, I don’t look so hot. I have a family that loves and supports me to no end, but they don’t have extra money. In short – I need $3000 asap, but anything will help – $10 would probably cause tears of gratitude.
A little more about me – I’m 42 and live in Atlanta. I’m an entrepreneur at heart but have decided I need to get a job for a while and rebuild my nest egg (I sunk everything into my car restoration shop that failed). I just started at my new position as a supply chain manager for a large logistics company.
I’m not necessarily just asking for people to send me money – more to the point, where can I turn for help with something like this? Credit cards are maxed, I can’t do a home equity at the moment due to the divorce, and my credit is laughable. Any advice is more than welcome and I’m very grateful for your time! The $2500 would be a bridge to my first paycheck. Pay 2 urgent bills (rent being one of them and my car’s repair bill) and all me to have a little cushion between now and April 1st when I get my first paycheck.
