Hello everyone. First I want to say thank you for taking the time to read my story. This is my first time ever requesting money from a stranger. It is an awkward feeling but I feel I am in a desperate situation, and am willing to try anything. I don’t necessarily consider myself broke, just have never been able to get my head fully above water. A brief background of me; I’m a 42 yr old mother of 2 (now adults). When my kids “flew the coop”, and I couldn’t afford where I was living, I moved about 400 miles away from my hometown and all friends & family. My first time living on my own, ever, completely by myself. My goal was to meet new people, explore new surroundings, and most importantly find myself. To do something where I would feel accomplished and proud. I took a major pay cut and a huge out-of-my-comfort zone life change. So far, it isn’t going as planned. With the pandemic, the social aspect of that was cut real short. Although, I’ve maintained two part time delivery jobs, I am now on my third fulltime job since the move. (Prior, I was simultaneously at one FT job for 12+ years & a PT job for 4 years) I have always busted my butt to make sure ends are met. I’ve sacrifice necessities such as food to make sure I could pay my bills. I still have a roof under my head, about 25 pounds lighter. (Which isbt a bad thing). But I feel like I’m still struggling, and still haven’t been able to feel that Fresh Start Feeling.
I have broken down what would absolutely help me feel caught up with bills and maybe even get to the wish list 🙃
Here is what I am in need of. (In case you can’t see my picture of my break down)
I REALLY NEED $2500 ASAP for May’s rent, storage, gas, electric, phone bill, and personal property tax.
SOONER THAN LATER I REALLY NEED an additional $8,700 to pay of Medical bills (for my depression doctors visits), Dental bills (for the root canal I had done in February), credit card, fix my phone screen, fix the crack in my windshield. Most importantly at Trip to California–my Marine son and his Marine wife are expecting their first child (my first grandchild) in September,… I want my daughter and I to be able to go visit for a week.
And last but not least, my wish list:. To pay off debt I have with family and friends (accumulated over the last 4 years), to sign up for some online classes so I can have that education to go for my dream job, and also to possibly get some groceries and new clothes that fit. 😐
