I’ve never done this before, so I am not sure where to start. But I have to start somewhere, right? I am asking for assistance in helping my family pay our rent. I’ve reached out to local communities for months with no response, or the funds have been used elsewhere. My boyfriend has been in and out of work for the last 17 months due to Covid, and we both got refused for unemployment. He got refused because they say he isn’t who he is, and even when he provided the necessary documentation. He was refused multiple times after being laid off 3 times last year, and once this year already. I waited 9 months for unemployment, looking for work after being laid off last year sometime in March, just to be disqualified in November because I was having extreme difficulties with my pregnancy which almost lead to my and the babies death in October. I had to have an emergency C-section and the recovery was quite long, roughly 3 months before I could really get to moving around again. The only reason we managed to catch up on rent during the beginning of 2021, was because I got a 10k refund which all went towards rent and other bills and car repairs, but with me being out of work still, taking care of the baby and my older son, it has been really hard on us. My boyfriend does have a new job now, but this leaves us behind on all our bills, not only rent.
Our family of 4 could really use the help in getting us out of this rut so we don’t have to struggle every day to even feed ourselves, buy diapers, etc. If you managed to read this far, please consider donating to help us out. We would appreciate it greatly.
