I’m not one to ask anyone for help, ever, so this is a little off for me. Little information about myself, I’m 28 years old, never married, no kids (except for my furbabies). I’ve went my entire 28 years with doctors telling me I could not conceive do to a four wheeler wreck I was in when I was 18 months old. To mine and my boyfriend’s surprise, 5 months ago we found out that we were expecting. My current home situation isn’t even close to ideal for a new addition to the family, we do have a nice yard for the dogs BUT the major problem is it is only 330 sq ft so we have absolutely zero space for anything to do with an infant. I’ve waited so long to post on here in hopes that we could come up with the money ourselves but unfortunately we have fallen shy of a typical move in payment. We would love to own a place of our own but we are more than happy to just rent, which is what we are doing now. I was in a 7 year relationship before my current and he wouldn’t allow me to go back to school to further my education to get a good career start. I do have a full time job but with the pay I’m getting it’s hard to pay my part of the bills plus save for a baby AND a new place. My current boyfriend, and child’s father, does construction and does get paid a decent amount but due to bad choices in the past he is currently paying off a few things and won’t be done paying until 2 months after our child is born.
With our current living situation we would have to get rid of our love seat (the only seating option other than the bed) to be able to afford a crib and we will still have to basically stack all the other things due to lack of storage. We aren’t asking for a huge miracle, just a little help from whoever is willing to offer it. We have found some places that would work but the cheapest is double what we pay now. We could stretch out budget more to make the rent and utility payments but the initial move in cost is pretty much out of reach. We have both looked into loans and what not but none have offered enough, we would have to get multiple loans from different companies to be able to do it. We are trying to steer clear from this option but it may end up being our only option.
If you would like to help out in any way it would be greatly greatly appreciated.
