My name is Cheyenne, and I am in some trouble. You see, my mother and I live in a very small apartment together ever since my dad died. We’ve been through a lot of heartache in the past, especially my mom. Not only did we lose my dad, but we also lost my brother only six months before my dad died. My mom is on anti-depressants to help her, and they’re working. But she obviously has her moments. There are times when I question if I’m depressed myself, and if I need to see a professional to help me sort my feelings out. But we can’t exactly afford it.
My mother works in the school district as an aid in special needs classrooms. She does not bring home a lot of money. Most of it goes to rent, of course, but the rest she needs to use for other bills and groceries. I work at a grocery store which pays minimum wage, so I bring home even less than her. I try to help her in whatever way I can, but I just don’t get paid enough to really help all that much. My brother used to help us with whatever we couldn’t cover, but he just got married, so he needs to pour all of his paychecks into building his life with his wife. So now my mom and I are stuck without help until I can find a second job to seal that gap between what we don’t have and what we need to pay.
My mom and I need help with the rest of our rent for next month, and whatever you can help us with would make a world of a difference.
We are short about two hundred dollars.
If we could get two hundred dollars for our rent next month, it would be such a weight off of our shoulders. It would give me a cushion to find another job, without the stress of needing to find one before the first of the month.
If you can help us, we will be eternally grateful. Thank you for for your time, and I hope you all have a great day.
