I am an Entrepreneur who reactivated a consulting business in the middle of the pandemic. I am originally from Chicago but I could see the handwriting on the wall as the city continues to erode. So, I escaped and relocated to a neighboring state.
I do not have a viable support system and most people come to me for help. Rarely do people realize that I am in need of help from time to time and always seem shocked that this could be. I am a Life Coach and spend a great deal of time lifting people up, maturing in their emotions, and guiding them out of their dilemmas. Today, it is me who needs a lift.
The last few months have been rough going as my contract work decreased. The good news is that things are looking up now but it will take a few more months to climb out of my financial hole. In fact, I am excited about new opportunities to present an Emotional Maturity curriculum in corporate settings where C-Suite members will be addressed. (Mature leadership is at an all-time low right now, in my opinion.) And I have been learning new methods for managing and growing my business. I’d like to move forward without the nagging stress of wondering whether or not I will be able to remain in this new place, which I love.
My most immediate need is to cover the next 2 months rent so that my new landlord does not lose confidence in me as a tenant. (He’s been incredibly patient and we have a good relationship.) If I can jump this hurdle, I can climb out from under interest rates and late fees and get back on an even track. (I’ve already adjusted the household budget to prepare for future eventualities.)
Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to hear my story. That, in itself, is a first for me.
