Hi everyone, My name is Nakia Vernon. Im requested help to catch up with my bills and rent due to being behind because of my severe lung condition.. I always had lung issues, I was born with asthma, as I got older things got worse with my lungs, I started coughing up black phlegm.. I took natural products and started eventually seeing some improvement.. I work in the medical field, I’m a CNA/PCT  and when I was working through agency, last year unfortunately I almost died from catching COVID a third time from one of the nursing home facilities… What happened was after I got over COVID I noticed I kept coughing up mucus, I became weak, more black phlegm came out and eventually I started declining.. I felt like the walking dead .. I would get short of breath by walking, I just wasn’t getting better… I had to go to the hospital and now I’m seeing to pulmonologist (lung specialist) COVID has basically weakened my lungs now to the point I have to rely on meds to keep me here.. I found out that I also now have severe allergies to alot of stuff I so far got diagnosed with Muculatory Chronic Bronchitis which is a form of COPD that creates excessive mucus and no I never smoked and I also found I got some type of fungus growing in the airways of my lungs, I failed my PFT test ( a breathing test to see how ur lungs functioning)… Now I get these respiratory flare ups that comes and goes and last from a week to a month where I cough nonstop, I get extremely weak short of breath, I spit up a lot of mucus, I vomit up food and mucus, chest pains.. I be feeling like I’m dying but I keep pushing because I have 2 babies, a 2 yr old and 3 yr old that needs me… I do have to get a procedure soon where they have to put me to sleep to put the scope down my lungs so they can see where the black phlegm is coming from… Im scared but I’m tryna have faith… This been goin for over a year now.. So when I have my flare ups sometimes I have to miss work and I got behind on bills and rent so if anybody can help me with any amount so I can catch up I’ll be grateful and very appreciative for whatever.. Hello good morning. I am reaching out in hopes that I may receive some assistance in regards to my rent for this month. Although my rent is on $1000 a month. I have recently hit a stag. I recently moved to another state and I’m all alone, no family no friends.  I’ve been here for going on 2 months already. unfortunately within the second week of me moving I lost my job back in NY due to falling asleep on company time. My drive to work every day was about 1 and half hours there and up to 2 or more hours coming back. Due to my honestly annoying recent discovery of me having severe sleep apnea it was quite a bit difficult to remain awake a lot of the time, so adjusting to the new sleep schedule was a little difficult. I’ve been doing rideshare things like uber eats to try and sustain. its just that its far from lucrative where I’m at now. I also keep getting told by the jobs that I’m applying for that they will get back to me. Honestly right now I’m just extremely down on my luck. I have about $300 dollars on me and I’m praying and wishing for the help of just another $700, just this month please, I am certain something will come through for me next month. My rent is Due on the 1st. I am still new on the lease and can’t really come to my landlord asking for an extension so soon. absolutely any little bit helps. I’m going to keep trying to make cash with these uber eats until then. So please if anyone or even multiple people can come together to just help me this once. It would be a godsend. Hello everyone, I’m a young adult in my early 20s and I’ve been living on my own for about 3 years now. Up until now I’ve never struggled this much living on my own and honestly right now I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet and knock out these bills. I lost my my job and since then I’ve been struggling to get another job and pay my bills. I would love to learn a trade or finish school and start a real career but I can’t do that until I get back on my feet and get stable income. I’m currently behind on my rent and my landlord even sent an eviction notice. I’m also behind on the electric bill, my car payment, and my insurance. In total that’s about $2,296 in the hole. I’m trying to stay positive towards this situation and keep my head focus on doing better and just looking for a solution. If there is anyone that can help I’d really appreciate it if you did. Even if you can’t give money if there is any advice you can give me or if there are programs that you know of or job opportunities please share them with me. Hi All!

First of all, I would like to say thank you in advance for realizing that sometimes others just need that extra help.

I have been a single mom for 8 years now, and have held 2-3 jobs since then. I have an almost 9 year old daughter that deserves the best, and I work extremely hard just to keep a roof over our head and food in the fridge.

The living wage compared to living cost has gotten extremely hard to keep up with, and my rent just raised as well, making it even tougher. I substitute teach during the year and serve tables. Now that school is out for the summer, it’s been hard to keep up. I have started doing photography on the side to try to get extra income, but building a clientele takes time.

I have paid $800 towards my rent, but have 2 days to come up with the $600 left before they start the eviction process. My car payment of $300 also happens to land on the same week.

It all piled up very quick, and have done all I can on my own to come up with it myself, just am still falling short. I am an extremely hard worker, and I can assure not a dime of any donation will go towards anything but to live and transport myself and daughter. I hope to be able to return the favor someday, because I know what it’s like to feel lost and overwhelmed. I am gathering as many items from home to sell to work towards these outstanding bills as well. Including items I cherish, but not getting evicted is priority of course.

In turn, my daughter suffers from feeding off my stress. Our world is tough these days, and I hate seeing kids have to pay consequences for it as well. People like you are making a difference, just remember that! We are starting to run low on food as well, adding to the stress. We have utilized food pantries, but have used up our visit for the month. With her home for the summer, she’s not receiving free school lunches, adding even more to our expensive grocery bill.

The shame and discouragement is weighing so heavy on me, I am having multiple anxiety attacks a day not knowing what’s to come if I’m not able to scrape up the funds. There is no affordable housing in my area, making it hard to find another location to move. Not to mention moving costs.

I have also looked into rental assistance, which hopefully will be reviewed before next months rent is due. However, the state is a little behind on going through applications, therefore, wouldn’t work for this month. I have no friends or family that are in the financial position to help me at the time either.

My name is Tiffany and I’m a mother of 4 and I’m requesting financial assistance with paying my rent arrears. I’ve sat down many time try to figure out where to begin, so I’ll start here. For 13 years, from 2008-2021 I was trying to get help for my eldest son who was suffering from schizophrenia/depression disorders. He was 16 when I noticed changes in his behavior. He started getting in trouble in school and at home which had never been an issue with him. Thinking it was the environment and bad influences, I moved from Brooklyn NY to Buffalo NY just to have things get worse. He began to run away and smoke weed, so i decided to move back to Brooklyn this way I’d have some family support. That was in 2008. I was trying hard to get him help before he turn 18 because at that point I would no longer have any say in him receiving treatment because he would have become an adult. I went to the courts, hospitals and I must have called 911 on my child between 20- 30 times just to have him force to take his medication. The repeated cycle of him going in and out of the hospital went on for 13 years. Unfortunately, the way the law works is that as longer as he’s not a danger to himself or others they can’t force him into treatment and he had been refusing to sign the HIPPA form I need to even speak with his doctors.

The last time i saw my son alive was right before Halloween 2021, where finally sign the HIPPA form as he sat on the floor in the hallway of my apartment building as we waited for EMS to arrive because He asked me to call them this time. I hugged and kissed my son and he walked away to go to the hospital for psych.  He was keep for a few hours and released with an outpatient appointment for the hundredth time.

I began hearing that my son was being seen begging in the streets and i would walk around looking for him but couldn’t find him, then i found out that he had a warrant for not showing up at the appointment after receiving a call from the social worker at the hospital. She and i stayed in contact. I would call her whenever i heard he was seen in my neighborhood. I missed him on my birthday. He stopped my apartment while I was at work and left nail polish and eyelashes on my bed for me. That was December 1 2021, on December 7 2021 I received a call while at work from the medical examiner telling me that my son was deceased. He had suffered from hypothermia and was found in an alley way in Harlem. The very worst day of my life.

I had to bury my eldest child, he was 30 years old with 3 daughters, Even though he was ill he still would go visit them. His oldest is 13 and she misses him dearly.

He didn’t have any life insurance so I had to burrow money from friends and family. I make $15.90 an hour and really didn’t have the means to pay the money back without other bills being affected, like my rent for example, I owe $9,000 in rent arrears, I haven’t been able to catch up. I work paycheck to paycheck so by the time I pay rent for the month plus an extra $200 per agreement I made with the management office, I’m basically left with no money for much else. I had plans to start a small business. I crochet and sew but I never have the funds. I’m stressed and just seeking peace of mind. Please help. Any and everything is appreciated. Hello…my name is Michael I’m 28 years old and live in the chicago south suburbs, I’m posting this because I need help with paying my rent, I am on a lease with my mom and help her pay rent monthly, currently the Job i work is off for the time being and I’m on unemployment which is not alot and my mom was let go from her job because of a health condition and we got behind on our rent for a couple of months and we owe 6,000 dollars, our landlord gave us a five day notice I’ll provide it below for proof, I pray someone sees this…I’m at my ropes end and been stressing about this, and don’t want to be evicted, i have 2 youger sisters in the home as well, God bless you and thanks…(in the image I provided below I just blurred my address for privacy reasons)

I have an urgent need about $3000 to cover apartment fees and rent by the 22nd of this month or I will be homeless. I have bad credit due to my life going to shit after my partner died. I have a job where I work from home, If I do not have internet, I lose my job.

That money covers the rent of the end of July and all of August ($1818), the pet fees and deposit($500), electricity and its deposit($300), storage($268) and the garage to take away the storage payment ($112).

The reason I can’t do it on my own is because I am currently living in a hotel, and that uses up all my money.

I have dogs with me, as well as my disabled mother who is currently applying for disability so I can’t just go find some shelter. None of our other family are able to help, a few of them don’t want to.

I have a lease signed, and if I break it it will be even harder for me to find an apartment. As if it weren’t hard enough with my bad credit.

I’ve tried to take out loans from several banks and companies, but that fell through. We tried crowdfunding, that fell through. We tried to put things together to sell, we didn’t have enough to reach the goal. I tried to get a second job, I haven’t heard anything back from anywhere I applied. Though even if I got a second job, I would not be able to make enough money in time. I am trying anything and everything I can to scramble the money together.

I can afford the rent on my own after we get in. It’s just the matter of all the fees, deposits, and moving costs.

I don’t want a free ride, I don’t want anything more than what I am asking for, I am just trying to get my life back on track after everything that has happened to me. I am doing my best, but I just need this one bit of help to get out of this pit.

I have until the 22nd to raise the money or I will lose the apartment and I am not sure if they will hold it or not.

Please help us get out of expensive hotel hell, my dogs, my mom and I all would very much appreciate it.

I am aware that despiTe the unfortunate circumstances that have transpired in my life, I am very blessed and God is in control. I’m learning so much from my situation in my desperation to become a better steward of my money. I feel these events are causing me to just be more vulnerable and open to asking for help.

If any of you would find in in your kind and generous heart to help a young woman like me. I recently got into 2 car accidents in a month…none of which were my fault of course. The first incident damaged my entire rear vehicle and totaled it. I had to rent a vehicle in order to continue working (I drive a lot for work in sales). 2weeks into having my rental, an uninsured and homeless motorist hit me in the rear again in stand-still traffic and life feels like a sick joke. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me I did not have rental coverage, so I’ve been renting a vehicle and I initially had a plan of expenses that worked based on my sales but I unfortunately lost a sales deal that is putting me a bit upside down.

I’m just fighting to be on top of major bills so that I can grow my credit score to a point where it would enable me to attain my goals; which is ultimately having better odds of approvals for business capital. I might be late on my bills if I can’t find assistance but I would still need help not accumulating a debt, paying rent and a down payment for a new car lease. On top of all this, I’m experiencing this at a moment when my lease is up and I’m supposed to move and I need cashier’s check to put a deposit for a different place to live. Whoever reads this, thank you dearly, please pray for me and my wisdom and I’m open to additional counsel on crisis control or risk management.

My situation is tricky because this is why we have emergency funds, but these event paired with the loss of a contract put me in an unprecedented scenario. My emergency fund wasn’t prepared for a new car purchase, I was already near exhausted on available cash, and I was being really diligent to close enough deals to not reap havoc. Things happened…and now I’m here. I have financial goals, business goals and I just feel very set behind. I unfortunately can’t do my job without a vehicle; though I’d love not to have a car note and and not distribute my hard earned income to liabilities that won’t help me invest wisely.

Hello, I have been looking for help through different agency but only got a little help on utility only, Husband had a hip replacement that went bad he blow a blood clot through his lung and damaged 1/3 of his lower heart we tried to find a lawyer for help but they wanted 60K to help us we didn’t have that kind of money so no help he since that time has had 6 heart attacks and 5 strokes he has had brain and hand troubles, I broken my foot a few weeks back which didn’t help us out, we had to move during covid our landlord we had for 7 year raised our rent during covid we got a free lawyer to try to help us but to do avail we had to pay until he sold the house and we had to move out that was a very hard time and it has not gotten better, one of our sons stole our business from us and we have been living off our saved monies which we only have rent for one month left, we are tried and scarred I can’t sleep at night with worry and trying to sell things online to make monies to help us but it is Daunting and not very much money a few dollars not even enough to pay for you to, If there is anyone out there who might be able to help us, we would be so ever grateful we are shy on our bill every month 1655.00 we only get 1645.00 @ month on disability benefits not enough to cover living expenses we do not want to become homeless we are scared please if you can help us at all we would forever be thankful I feel wired have to ask for help it goes against me but I didn’t know what to do I think about my dog Max & My Husband I don’t want him to to get stressed out and have any more heart attacks so I ask .Sincerely,Cheryl G.
