Seeking Help with Move-In Costs – Your Support Would Mean a Lot

I received a notice from my current landlord that the current apartment complex I live in got a tax credit so to comply with that tax credit, all the units will be strictly low income. My family and I do not meet their income guidelines, so we must move out by November 30, 2023.

I just got caught up with back rent in March 2023 due to being out of a job due to COVID.  I was just starting to catch up on bills but still living paycheck to paycheck.  I gave myself a head start to look for a new place, but every landlord is asking for first and last month rent plus security deposit. I simply just don’t have the money to pay for move in fees.  I’m begging for any help from the kindness of your hearts.  Most places that I’ve already toured are $2800 and up for a 3-bedroom home.  Multiply by 3, it equals to $8,400.  It’s hard for me as a single mom and 4 kids when I’m still currently paying for the rent here and other bills before we must move.  How can I save when I still have to keep this roof over our head and other necessities?

Your support would mean the world to me during this time. I am reaching out to ask if you would be willing to help me with a contribution towards the move-in costs. Whether it’s a small or more substantial amount, every bit would go a long way in helping me secure a comfortable and stable new home.

If you’re able and willing to help, you can contribute through PayPal at hli.yang425@gmail.com or go to this link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=BVARAVU7URVVC.  If financial support isn’t possible at this time, your moral support and well wishes are equally valued and appreciated.

I want to emphasize that I fully understand the challenges many of us face, and I completely respect whatever decision you make regarding my request. No matter the outcome, your friendship and care mean a great deal to me.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you’d like to discuss this further. I am genuinely grateful for your understanding and support.

Wishing you all the best and looking forward to staying in touch.

Warm regards,

Lee

Please Help My Family (Single Mom)

I am a single mother of 5 boys. The past few years I have maintained just fine until about 2 months ago when I lost my job for calling out to be with my son who’d gotten sick and the Day care would no longer look after him and I didn’t quite feel comfortable leaving him home to be watched by his brothers. My husband (their father) passed away from Covid 3 years ago, Making things a bit tougher to handle but we have managed. My apartment has filed an eviction notice and by the first I have to pay a total of  2,157.00 or we have to be out by the 5th of September. I do not have any family that can help. Even asking in this manner makes me nervous. I have found another job but I will not be starting until next week. I have even tried doordashing and instacart (still doing this).  The best that covers is lights and grocery. I have been a hard worker all my life and I have not once asked for help. But I am asking now. Please help my family.

Hard Working Mom

Hi, My name is Catherine Jenkins. I am a single mother. My husband left me 3 years ago and I have been forced to pay all the bills alone and take care of the 4 sons he left behind. I have been working in the trucking industry, delivering auto parts to businesses for LKQ, but they weren’t getting enough deliveries and I wasn’t getting enough hours so my paychecks have not been enough to pay my utilities and rent. On top of that in July while making my deliveries, I had a heat stroke and had to take some time off of work. I don’t have medical insurance because that would take away from my take home pay and I make too much to get government assistance, so I ended up going to Urgent Care and paying out of pocket. My job at LKQ would not allow me to come back because I used all my PTO and I was still not recovered, so basically I was let go and I loved that job! No worries, I found another job quickly delivering alcohol beverages to restaurants, liquor stores, bars, etc. Its very hard work but it is an honest living. By the time I found my job though August rolled around and I now owe July and August rent. I took out a personal loan but its not enough to pay both months. My leasing office won’t take partial payments either, so I am playing catchup. They keep adding late fee and court costs because they filed an eviction on me. I owe $5030.00 now. I have $2000, but August is soon coming to an end. I am afraid of being homeless on the streets with my children. Please help me catch up on my rent. My CashApp is $shenellj100 and my PayPal is paypal.me/ShenellServices . I have no problem with paying it back, I really just need help.

Life Is Expensive

Hello! I am requesting any amount of donations to simply stay alive. I am 24 years old and am enrolled at my local community college. I am only able to pay for my schooling because I have grants, but my grants only cover the cost of taking classes. I am currently paying out of pocket for class supplies, which has put me in a financial hard spot. I work full-time (40 hours) and take 5 classes. In order for me to receive my full grant award, I am required to be enrolled full-time also. I am a server in a local restaurant and leave with roughly $150 a night. My paychecks are roughly $400 because tips are taxed on top of my state’s minimum wage, $9.75. I get paid bi-weekly and am starting to struggle making my money stretch.
Here’s my fixed cost of living expenses:
-Rent $700
-Car insurance $150
-Car payment $200
-Groceries (2 weeks) $100
-Phone $100
-Shared utilities $150
-Minimum credit card payments $300

I don’t receive any financial help from family members due to having estranged relationships with them. I have gained credit card debt due to moving away from them. My father seems to track down my location, so I have moved roughly 5 times in the past 8 years.

I’ve been working full-time since I graduated high school in 2017. I first started working when I was 15 because my mother needed help paying for our living expenses due to her physical disabilities. I’ve held multiple jobs at the same time to pay for simply existing, but I am so burnt out. I can only give so much energy to jobs before I become mentally drained and physically exhausted.

I currently live with my ex partner and have been using most of my leftover tips to save money to afford my own place and any kinds of deposits required when moving. Most places for rent in my city range from $900-$1,800.

I am simply asking for donations to help me continue get by. I’ve been incredibly frugal since a teenager because I know how much money really rules the world. I don’t need large amounts of change, simply “chump change” to save for a rainy day. I currently have $46 in my savings account and $6.13 in my checking to last me until next payday. I’ve invested small amounts of money ($52 total) into online currency for emergency backup money, but I’ve started to dip into that money to purchase supplies, and realistically, food.

Thank you so much for reading! If you’re willing to spare some cash, I’ve linked my Paypal at the end of this. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my sob story.

Please help Injured and trying to raise my grandson:

Hi I’m Shelly Riley I’m trying to raise my grandson and take care of myself. A few months ago I fell and hurt myself very badly and I haven’t been able to walk in almost 6 months now my whole body is totally numb. https://paypal.me/zayjay3829?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US I have spent any extra money I had on doctors and medications all that and I am having an extremely hard time paying any bills especially the rent I’m real far behind and soon I won’t be able to buy my medications. My landlord is not a friendly person she’s charging me 65 dollars late fee. I still need to pay her she raking up all kinds of fee’s I don’t know how she can do this to people and at this rate I’ll never get caught up. She will not forget that believe me. My electric bill is behind my water bill is behind my car payment is behind everything is behind and right now I can’t even drive my car I can’t get to the doctor’s appointments. I have to have someone take me because I’m numb from head to toe and I’m just beside myself I don’t know what to do anymore I’m crying all the time because I’m so upset and hurting all the time but then I got it straighten up because I have my grandson who can’t see me crying and carrying on I’m sure it would effect him somehow and all because I don’t have money to pay the bills I can’t show a child that. If I could get any help from anyone I would be so very very grateful. I would like you to know asking for help is very hard for me I’m the one that helps others it has taken me 6 months to give in and ask for help. Help to get ahead in life please…

Hello!

I hate doing this but I don’t know what else to do. I am requesting help to catch up on bills. Being the youngest in my family I’ve spent 10 years solely taking care of my mother up until she passed 2 years ago. Up until then I have never lived on my own or have done anything on my own and for myself.. I always moved around to take care of family matters. I am finally in my own place now trying to figure this new life I have. Still learning and unlearning a few things to succeed in life. Depression got the best of me after the passing of my mother because my whole life was dedicated to helping and making her life comfortable. That would include putting my life and happiness aside and not care about my future. Now being on my own I kind of got behind on my car payments and am struggling to keep up with my rent as well as all my other bills. I have now came to terms with my mother’s death but now my depression is over my financial health due to the neglect of my well-being. I do work.. however, it’s not enough to catch up to stay afloat. I just need help to catch up on everything to bring them current so I can continue to learn to progress and grow financially and learn more about financial health. I would greatly appreciate any help given. And may God bless you tenfold in return. Thank you!

Rebuilding & Needing a Miracle

Hi, I am in need of a miracle right now. I am about 5 days away from not having housing or food as I have been renting.

A few months ago I was robbed (phone & tech) and I got sick.  I have been struggling to turn everything around while working over 12 hour days, sometimes till 3am, applying for work, getting rejected and feeling incredibly lonely while facing severe burnout. I have no one else to lean on or ask for support- or family.

I am asking for support with 3,000 to pay for rent, food, car payment & bills to eat, rest & receive therapy for for the level of stress I have been in so I can turn everything around.  Praying for a miracle so I can give back when I am in overflow.

Sincerely,

humbled & grateful.

Seeking Help with Move-In Costs – Your Support Would Mean a Lot

Dear Donors,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out with a heartfelt request, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am in the process of making an important move to a new home, and while I am excited about this new chapter, I find myself facing unexpected financial challenges with the move-in costs.

Moving to a new place involves various expenses, including security deposits, first month’s rent, utility deposits, and other upfront fees which totaled to $5,790. Unfortunately, the cumulative costs have proven to be more than I initially anticipated, and I am finding it difficult to manage everything on my own.

Your support would mean the world to me during this time. I am reaching out to ask if you would be willing to help me and my children with a contribution towards the move-in costs. Whether it’s a small or more substantial amount, every bit would go a long way in helping me secure a comfortable and stable new home.

Please understand that I do not take this request lightly, and I am committed to repaying any assistance I receive as soon as my financial situation stabilizes. I truly believe that together, we can overcome this hurdle and make this transition as smooth as possible.

If you’re able and willing to help, you can contribute through my paypal: hli.yang425@gmail.com.

Wishing you all the best, and looking forward to staying in touch.

Warm regards,

Lee

My family just can’t catch a break!!

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read our story, this is very embarrassing for me, I have never asked for help before, I always found a way to get by, however, this time I’m at a loss, and am praying for a guardian angel. A few years ago, we ended up on the streets because of a slum lord, and because of that, our son was taken from us and put into a group home.  After four years, we got an apartment through the rapid rehousing program and got our son back. It’s been a year and a half and our housing grant ran out, so we were going to just pay our rent out of pocket, with my disability check, and unfortunately, we were told that we can’t stay in our apartment unless we are receiving help from the government. So we have been looking for somewhere else to move, and due to low credit scores and a previous eviction, we are having a very hard time finding a place to go. I finally found a place that will take us, but we owe $1175.  from the old eviction, and that has to be paid before we can move in. We are having a hard enough time trying to get the security deposit and first months rent together. There is no way possible to get that amount together, I have tried getting loans, and everything else I can think of, with no luck. So we now have four or five days until will end up on the streets again, and this time with our son. I just can’t do that to him, and I can’t lose him again. If anyone out there could please help us, I would be more grateful than you could ever imagine. At this point, I don’t know where else to turn, I have tried all assistance programs and no one can help. If anyone has a little extra that they could contribute, please send any help to  my cash app at $TamiMoore714.

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help, and God Bless!

Need help with rent/bills

Hello everyone, my name is Jared. I’d like to start out by saying thank you to anyone who reads this and even for considering giving and helping me and my family out.

I have a fiancée who is 7 and half months pregnant as of today, and we have really been struggling this month. In March of this year, we moved to a different city so we could live together ( we lived 80 miles apart when we started dating) and everything was going great. I had money saved up from my current job and I felt comfortable enough in April to end my employment and find work in my current city. On April 14th on a Friday I ended my employment and everything was going as planned, and then disaster struck. My fiancée’s older sister was murdered that weekend and her body was found on April 17th. My fiancée’s family lives across the state and had no money for funeral expenses so a GoFundMe was started for it, but after 3 weeks of traveling and having no income from work, It ruined all of my planning financially and I have not been able to recover.

I have a job interview on the 23rd of this month coming up and it’s looking great, and it would change our lives as a family if I am able to get the job. My issue is making it this month. I have sold everything of value I have, including my coin collection that I have had since I was a child, to make ends meet for my family the last 3 months. I have never done this before, but I am being pushed to my limits. I drive Uber to get by, but the money isn’t enough to survive right now and pay the bills. If anyone could help me and my family I would be eternally grateful to all of you. Our bills this month total around $1,400 so that is what I am looking to raise, but of course anything helps us. Thank you to anyone who took the time out of your day to read this.

Help Grandma Make Rent

Hi all generous folks looking to help, TIA! This isn’t easy but I don’t have any other recourse. I don’t have family or friends to turn to as we all pretty much come from the same meager means. I don’t have or own anything of high value that I can sell or pawn, except for my car, but I need that to get to and from work and drive my grandson where he needs to go. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have had to take over his care. He just turned 8 and is an incredible kid; I’m am lucky to have him as a grandson. However, prior to him coming to stay with me, I only made enough to cover my expenses. I never expected that this would happen and now find myself trying to support us both. I have filed an application for assistance for him but until then, I am short…on everything. I can’t make the rent at the end of this month nor do I have enough to cover the car insurance or the daycare for the next 2 weeks.  Luckily I only pay for the after school program to keep him until I get out of work and pick him up, however this additional $350 a month isn’t something that was ever part of my budget. I have all these additional expenses that I didn’t have before and I frankly don’t have the money to do it all. Until I get a determination on the assistance application, I’ve just been limping along. The end of the month is fast approaching and I’m starting to get anxious and overwhelmed about how I’m going to come up with all this money that I need to keep us in the apartment/studio, daycare and in a drivable car.

I just need some help to cover these expenses and I think $2000 would be enough. At least it would give me a chance to start back at an ok place with my own employment check and hopefully his assistance for him would have kicked in.

Thank you so much if you find it in your hearts to give and contribute to helping my grandson and me out! Many blessings and good returns!

In Need of Rent Assistance

Hi, I’m Julia and I am a 25-year-old who is in need of financial assistance. I work full-time and am actively looking for a second job to help supplement my income, but haven’t been able to find any leads yet. I’m quite embarrassed to have made it to this point, but I am really struggling to pull myself out of this financial hole and get myself on the right track.

My income right now does not leave enough room for savings, and when trying to make all of my necessary payments (rent, car, dental, doctor’s appointments, insurance, credit cards, and upcoming student loans) I am left with no money, or my account is overdrawn. I’m currently late on my last rent, which I managed to pay half of, but will not have enough money by my next payment due date to pay. I’ve included my past due fees and upcoming due balances for my rent.  Capture.PNG

I’m at my wit’s end, I feel stuck in this cycle of trying to pay things off and then being left with no money for food for myself and my cat, and other necessities. I’m desperately looking for a jumpstart to get myself back on the right path.

Thank you for reading and for those who are able to help — I cannot describe how appreciative and grateful am.

Need a short term life line

It’s been a crazy few months, moved to a big city, signed a lease, now facing potential repercussions if I can’t cover my bills until the lease ends my life will take a long turn for the worse.  I fear homelessness, I don’t have family or friends in this area, would have to sell or abandon everything I’ve worked for over the years.

Just looking for enough cash to make it to the end so I have enough time to sell off my belongings, if need be, or to find a new position that can supply the dignity I need to not fail my landlord and myself.

I would not be on this site if I was not scared and desperate.

Thank you for your consideration and may the world give back generously to those who help others in their time of need.

Request for Help with Rent and Bills Following Surgery

Where to start?? We’ll start with where I’m at now. Due to my most recent deposit to my bank being marked as fraud, they believe, but don’t know for sure, because it was sent from a different bank but was still from the same company, none of my bills have been paid this month. And this won’t be fixed until an automated process that I’m told can’t be interfered with in any way is done determining if the deposit is legit or not, which should take 7-10 business days but could take up to 20. I just moved into this home and this is the second time I’m paying rent here. I mailed the rent check the first, and it never reached its destination and was also not returned to me by USPS. So you can imagine my new landlords are a bit upset and I’m sure questioning what the heck is really going on. My car payment was sent back over the weekend, as was my car insurance payment on Monday, and today my autopay for my phone bill because it’s on autopay and I didn’t think to cancel auto pay and make arrangements for a future payment date. All of my money is in that account. I received an eviction notice, and the landlord did not respond when I told them what was happening with my bank. This all happened 2 days after I got home from traveling 4 hours to and 4 from a 3 day stay at KU Med to undergo 2 surgeries done to correct issues with the leads of my pacemaker about a week ago on Aug 8 and Aug 9. I was only supposed to have one surgery but after they fixed the bottom lead that was fractured the top lead slipped so the next day they had to fix that one, leading to longer hospital stay, increased recovery time and more restrictions after surgery. I have short term disability insurance which I pay for through my job, and I started the claim for benefits months ago when I got the date for my surgery. However, after speaking to them today they have not yet processed receiving the paperwork the surgeons office faxed to them on Monday, once they process receiving it there is a 5 business day turn around time on actually processing the information and determining if I’ll receive benefits. So I may be back to work before I see any of those benefits. I have moved twice since Since April, once on May 20 into an absolute disaster situation that I was blatantly and deliberately lied to and deceived about. And then by the grace of God into what I hope to be my home for awhile. My rent is $815, car payment (plus late fees, returned payment fees and additional processing costs) is $540, and my insurance will be $200+ to reinstate the policy in such a way that I don’t have a lapse in coverage. I live in a place with out a lot of resources for people in need, I’ve checked and called around and even what is available I don’t qualify for due to my income. So I’m asking for the kindness of strangers to help get me over this speed bump.

Donations excepted at paypal.me/danniroses thank you in advance for you kindness, generosity and caring during such a difficult time.
