Just to give some background information. I’m currently heading into my final semester of undergrad at Arizona State University and plan to go on to law school in the Fall of 2020.
This summer, however, has been a brutal one. I had been working in the bar industry since March making very good money for a college student who is almost exclusively financially independent and was paying bills and everything on time. Although when I came into work on June 15th, I was told to not clock in and to just turn around and head home. The bar I had been working at had just closed permanently and summer in the valley is almost impossible to find a job. Immediately I turned to Postmates and with the little money that I did have saved up was able to kind of get by throughout the rest of June and up until this point. I was able to afford rent, utilities, water, car, and groceries for the past month and now those funds that were able to keep me afloat have since diminished. My rent is due to go up at the end of the month from 450 to 650 with a roommate leaving. I did just start training at a new job, another bar, however, I won’t be consistently on the schedule for another two weeks.
On top of this, my family who has been absolutely incredible to me in assisting me throughout this roadblock have also had some chaos. My grandfather recently took his computer in to get fixed and while doing so, the shop decided to take and outsource all of his bank and financial assets to a location in Pakistan or elsewhere and they now have all accounts frozen while an investigation goes on and they can hopefully track and reattain all of their assets. My mom is struggling herself after helping my sister and I move down here for college and her job simply does not pay her enough to even think about owning a house.
I really don’t like doing this, but to any stranger on the internet who can help me and even make it so I can help my family while all of this is going on would be greatly appreciated. I don’t think I could show enough gratitude to those who help me even the slightest. I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for your time.
