My name is Ashley, I lost my job in 2020 because of Covid. In turn I was not able to pay my parents rent or money for bills anymore so they kicked both me and my dog, Atlas, out with nothing. Atlas has helped me through so much and I would do anything for him. I have been able to keep food in his belly by doing odd jobs but I haven’t been able to find anything stable yet. Most places don’t like it when I bring him around or don’t let him in, it makes it very difficult to find a job since I don’t have anywhere to keep him. With the recent weather conditions, I have gotten scared that one day we might get stuck outside in weather like that and I wouldn’t know what to do. We were lucky enough to have a friend let us stay with them for a while, but Atlas and I need a place to call our own. If I can get enough money to rent an apartment, where I know Atlas will be safe while I am gone, and start some savings so we can have food or if anything were to happen. Once we have a home and a warm bed, then I will be able to start working again and can start putting money away for our future and eventually go back to college so I can make the best life for both Atlas and I.
Anything helps us and it is so much appreciated. Atlas has been a part of my life for years now and I don’t know what I would do without him. I am hoping to be able to put a down payment on an apartment and have a couple months of rent ready, with money for bills and food. Getting back on my feet has been one of the most difficult things i’ve ever had to do but having Atlas with me every step of the way has helped so much. He has kept me sane when it gets really hard and makes the good days even better. Thank you so much for your help and I will make sure to give Atlas all the kisses and belly rubs for you.
