My name is Igor, I live in Portugal, married and father of 5 year old twins. I make a living of my art for more than 7 years, but today I was naively a victim of an ellaborated scam.
I was contacted in my Instagram (you can check at @igorcicarini) by a person who was interested to buy my art as NFT. He asked me to create an account at opensea and put my art there and he would purchase immediately.
I did as per his instructions but later he sent me a message saying he couldn’t purchase because my account was somehow blocked (as you can see in below)
He asked me to get in touch with the email described in the message to see what was going on, which I did right way. The “opensea support” told me that I would need to buy a gas fee of 0,3 ETH to unlock my account, as you can see below.
ETH is a cryptocurrency which corresponds more or less like 522 Euros. Trusting that I was contacted by real Opensea support. I took the money from my savings to pay the rent and transfered the amount of 525 Euros to them.
Obviously I found later ita was a scam. I didn’t pay attention the supposed “opensea support” had a gmail emmail instead of an official one.
I’m asking your help to recover just the amount of 525 euros. But I’m not asking for free. I will send you a drawing made specially for those who can help me. I really appreciate your support to pay my rent next wee, May 2nd. Here is the link for donation:
