Hello, my name is Sophia. I’m not entirely comfortable asking for money from strangers but I’m in desperate need if anyone is so kind to help me. I’m twenty working at a fast food place that treats it’s workers like robots and doesn’t pay nearly enough to pay rent. I wanted to go to college and get a good enough education so I can grow up and become successful in life and give back to those in need like the homeless, especially my family who are all suffering with medical or financial issues. However I’ve been working at Wendy’s there for about three years and can barely afford enough money for a car, college intuition or to help my parents pay the bills. I was hoping to have moved out before I turn 24 so I can start to pursue my dream of being either a author or video game designer. I recently became depressed after my best friend died and now after surviving cancer my mom is suffering through another medical crisis that causes her to be in extreme pain and lose her appetite which is bad since she barely ate before hand. My brother also suffers through sickle cells which makes it harder for my parents to afford to pay the bills or to move into a better place to accommodate us all since she’s unable to work at the moment.
I wish to quit my job and find a better paying one as well as still be able to pursue my dreams and help my family with everything they need. I however cannot afford to and no matter how hard I work my money seems to disappear in less than two days helping support not only myself but my parents and my baby brother. I want to be able to push forward and live life to the fullest and be happy, and be the first in my family to graduate college. I want to be able to drive, go to college, and work hard to achieve my dreams and become successful enough that I can support myself, my family and those who were like me who need a little push to get back on their feet. No one should be left on the streets starving and wondering when they will be able to feed their families. If your reading this I hope you are kind enough to share whatever you can so I can help and make sure me and my family don’t end up on the streets and help me achieve my dream of attending college. Thank you for your time.
