Hi everyone! Please forgive me as it’s my first time ever doing something like this but I wanted to put myself out there.
I’m a passionate, kind, smart, and eager to learn 21 year old with a rather unique lifestyle at the moment compared to most I think. While I am currently not employed, I really intend to do well in life working in a technical trade. I plan to find a job as soon as I am able to. I live on a small farm house built in the 50s with family and my parents are a little on the older side and thus we don’t really get out all that often or really at all, except for a trip to the store every week or so, so it becomes kind of isolating at times combined my lack of a social life and living on a small farm area. It’s just been a struggle right now. Both my parents don’t work (mom never really started a career and my dad retired from the railroad before I was born because of a sore back) and I don’t have my drivers license or a vehicle yet just because of delays and stuff with finances and my dad’s health. Because of living on a farm, I can’t really get out into the world without my license. We’ve always been tight on money, and I don’t have any friends really or many life experiences. Once I get my license I still will need to save up for a vehicle as we only have one car and even the insurance alone for me to start driving will be a lot. The grocery bills are also very high in addition to my dad’s medical bills too.
My parents can’t really relate to helping me much as far as what options are available to me for my future as they never went to college or anything (well my mom went to art school but dropped out, long story) and I don’t even have phone service on my phone because my parents don’t want smartphones. Like they kinda discouraged me from going to college over the years and just saying how expensive life is and all that and basically told me I need to figure something out. But they aren’t as in tune with all of the programs and stuff that exist and I don’t know much about them. I just don’t want to waste any opportunities and sometimes I just feel lost. My dad is almost 70 and both my parents got a rather unfortunate later start at life due to things in life happening such as miscarriages, so in a way I can understand things too. And sometimes it’s stressful because if anything were to happen to him, we’d have no income at all. I don’t know I guess sometimes I just worry about not having much of a support system especially after my grandpa passed and realizing that I don’t really have anyone and then seeing all of my peers getting ahead in life it kind of saddens me sometimes. But you know what, I just do my best and realize that I don’t need all of that stuff everyone else has or their experiences etc. to be happy and I just do my best to build my future when I can finally start earning some money. I sold a couple things online and spent a little money on my sister wanting some things and to make her happy, and then helped out my dad pay for some of the bills. I can no longer sell online until I get my license because of a verification thing they are doing so I currently don’t have any income. I’m going to be looking for work when I can though but I would be grateful for any help.
I’m very knowledgeable in certain things such as electronics and just being handy and when I’m able to, I plan to become a low voltage electrician/fire alarm systems technician or HVAC tech possibly. But I’m still trying to figure it out, I’m also into photography as a hobby and was considering that as well but with less than $300 in my bank it’s hard for me to justify getting more equipment even though I’d like to. I’ve even considered setting up a small electronics repair business, fixing people’s equipment. But I’d need to get that figured out as well how to start it and everything. So basically I’m just feeling a little lost and I’m looking for any little bit of support that would allow me to add to my savings and help me be able to figure out my future and be able to afford some of my own things as well as be able to help out with bills at home since we can’t always get everything we need every week. I have a small YouTube channel where I focus on some of my work with alarm systems as well as repairs I have done with electronics, and I hope to grow my channel more as well and possibly earn money with making it more successful some day if you’d like to see that I’m legit haha. I am the type of person to always want to help others, and I would want to pay forward to others once day when I am able to. Everyone deserves help especially around this time of year.
