All joking aside, this is actually really hard for me to do but 2023 has been a trying time for my household. I’m a 41 year young female and currently take care of my 81 year old Mom. On top of that I work full-time as a paraeducator (I work in a Special education classroom for 3-5 grade kids) and I absolutely love my job.
My trials started on August 9th of this year which happens to be my birthday. I had a part-time gig delivering food for a food delivery service, to make some extra cash. On my last delivery of the night I had a bad car accident totaling my only vehicle and landed me in the hospital. With my injuries not only did I have “THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!, But I was also out of work for the first 2 weeks of school.
I was blessed with great friends that I work with to help me get to work until i was able to get a new vehicle, which has not yet happened. With all the expenses and new injuries I fell behind on bills. Cut to December still struggling and with the holidays I got some gifts for my nieces and nephews and tried to give my mom a lit bit of Christmas spirit since we spent it alone due to covid. On top of this I’m also getting ready to have surgery this January which I had to put $500 down. All this has left me $1,000 short on my rent. So if someone can please help me and my mom we will be deeply appreciative and vow to pay it forward.
