My son is my gentle giant!
He is one of the most kind hearted humans that walk the face of this earth. He was born almost 6 weeks early, and weighted 6 pounds! He had to stay in the hospital for 10 days. The longest 10 days of my life. I am only 5’2, and he is now 6’3”!He, his partner, and their three small dogs moved to California from Michigan last March. He had a job before they moved, but his partner is a realtor, and it takes time to get established. They just didn’t think it would take so long. So, he is driving Lyft, and dog walking. My son is woking 50hrs plus a week, and is trying to get a serving job on the week-ends.
They basically need help until he can find someone to buy, rent or sell a house, condo, or apartment!
The family members who don’t have money, have helped as much as they can, and the ones that do have money, well, I guess that is why they do…
When they first moved out, they couldn’t drive lift because the car windshield had a crack in it, so that had to be fixed, then they needed tires, then brakes! They only have one car.
They can’t afford to go to the doctors, or dentist. Little dogs are known for needing their teeth cleaned, or they start to lose them. They can’t be late on rent, or they are out, no questions asked…they need help with rent!
My son also has a ridiculous amount of student loan debt from going to the U of M for 5 years. He was not able to find a decent job when he got done! We are helping pay on that also. It breaks my heart even more with the holidays because they can’t afford to come home, or even buy presents for one another.
His sister is graduating in the spring from the U of M, and he won’t be able to attend. They are really close, and miss each other dearly…
They are very grateful every single day for what they do have, and for all the love and support they have received from others.
I want to be able to surprise them for the holidays, be able to take away the stress from them, and from his father and I for as long as I can.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated, and will be budgeted accordingly so that it will last as long as possible!
Respectfully, and with unconditional love from the bottoms of my heart,
Christina Elizabeth (Cleary) Lindeman
