Hello everyone and thank you for taking time to read our story. To begin with we are a happy working class family of 5 members living in London/UK: my name is Andy, my wife Silvia and our lovely children Carlo 14y.o, Robert 8y.o and David 1y.o.
Our story is simple but complicated and sad at the same time. We never ever though that one day we will have to ask anyone for help to pay for anything. I’ve always been the only one providing for the family and I was doing just fine, but at the end of April 2020, when the pandemic began the company I was working for made me redundant at short notice due to lack of business. At the beginning we thought that it’s nothing serious to worry about and that the quarantine will end soon and everything would go back to normal. We had some savings and thought we will make it until I will find a new job. However, one thing is to be said that reality can be difficult to handle at times and we’ve learned along the way throughout the pandemic and the government closures of businesses. During the first 6 months of the pandemic and government restrictions we lost all our finances on paying for the rent, bills and food expenses and even borrowed with a loan hoping that it will all end soon and return to normality but that happened just now 1 year later. With all that said, I’ve found a new job but can’t cope with all the debts accumulated in the past and that gives me and my family high levels of stress and anxiety and makes me feel like I’m overwelmed by the situation we’re in. All we ask you and even beg you is some help to pay the rent we owe for the last 2 months which is £3000 so we can get back on track with payments and cope with the others debts.
