Hello, whoever you are, if you are reading this then you are most likely looking to help. There are so many more desperate people than myself here and I understand you cannot help everybody. I can only hope that a few people read this and decide to help a couple in need. Like most people we struggle with a considerable amount of debt. We both work full time jobs, pick up any overtime whenever possible but still feel like we are drowning, barely managing to keep our heads above the water. the past couple of years of have been a real struggle. We live paycheck to paycheck and so did not have any savings when certain events called for loans and credit cards to get us through it. I currently owe £12000 on a bank loan, £4400 on a credit card and live at the limit of my £1000 overdraft. My wife has an £8000 loan, £1500 on a credit card and at the limit of her £500 overdraft. So all in we have close to £28000 of debt we are slowly chipping away at. The loans will be paid off in 5 years time. I don’t think we can make it 5 years at our current rate… My last 3 paychecks have gone mostly on bills, we barely manage to feed ourselves let alone other expenses.. All this while we try to pay our rent and keep the car running so we can keep working. My wife suffers with severe depression and anxiety, we cry more than we laugh these days.. I don’t know what to do, I hate the fact that I am here begging for help, relying on the kindness of strangers. My wife doesn’t know that I am writing this, I don’t think she could take it if she knew where I have ended up in desperation. It is all too much and we have nowhere to turn to. We haven’t been married long, About 6 weeks now. He had a very small wedding managing to get everything including suit, dress and venue for under £1000. There is still no sight of a honeymoon on the horizon.. We simply can’t afford to do it. Please help me get our lives back on track, just to a point where we can breath and not feel the weight of all this crippling debt on our backs! Thank you for taking the time to read this and even more so if you are able to help out. Hugh.
