Hi, My name is Jilly I am currently 22 years old about to be 23 on the 21st of November and the past few months have been one hardest times in my life. Prior to all of this I was living with an ex boyfriend, his roommate, and our cats. Things were going good until he decided to stop paying the electric and didn’t tell anyone and it got shut off. We lived without power for a few days while one of our cats was pregnant, she gave birth while the power was out to 5 small adorable kittens. Sadly one did not make it and I asked him to stay there while I got home from work which would of only taken about 5-7 mins for me to get back but he decided to leave and never come back. I stayed with this person for much longer than I should of. I found myself in my first abusive relationship and was controlled by someone. The day he left I realized that was my day to be free but I couldn’t leave my cats in a house with no electricity like he did. I stayed with them for several days after while the power was still out, I found out a temporary home for the mama cat and her babies. And found homes for the other kittens. Then it was time to find myself a home. Very confused and didn’t know what to make of things. I stayed with my roommate and his friends for a bit but that was just temporary. After that went we were left with nowhere to go and wasn’t able to find an apartment yet so our only option was to stay at hotels. Over the past two months his former roommate and I have been staying at hotels which pretty much range from $65-$130 a night depending on what day of the week and the location that it is in. I work in a downtown city area so I have always been one to take the bus to work, but the hotels in the city are far more expensive than staying on the outskirts. The only thing about the outskirts sometimes it’s harder to get into the city. Because of my anxiety and depression and losing everything from that relationship and how hard it was to get to work I missed out on a decent amount of work so what money I was making from the shifts I was working was just going to the hotels. Luckily I had a blessing and was able to find an apartment that was decently priced with my roommate and now that I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel I feel like things may start to fall into place once I am moved into the apartment but I am still short for my rent in order to move in tomorrow on the first. I am just looking for a few hundred to help me cover the rest of my half of the rent. Then I will have no issue getting to work and working all the time like I used to. I made some mistakes in the age of 22 but it was all learning to me and I hope to make 23 much better.
