Thanks for letting me post my story. I own a small Consulting business, and it was doing very well until my Mom got sick in December of 2022. So, we got together at my house for Christmas, my son and his family were here visiting from Utah. That’s when it all started. My Mom, who was already walking with a rollator. She fell when she came into the house. My son happened to be near when she fell so he was able to help her up. She said she wasn’t feeling well through the remainder of the month. In early January, 2023, she fell in her apartment and couldn’t get up. She waited for me to come by instead of calling an ambulance. I took her to the hospital where we found out that not only did she have the Flu, but she was suffering from major dehydration, and stage 3 kidney disease. She was admitted to the hospital for a few days, and then released to rehab for a few weeks. She had several Dr’s visits, physical therapy and occupational therapy, as well as a nurses Aide to help her around the apartment (cooking, cleaning, bathing, etc). During this time, I had to step away from my business for a short time to manage her care. This is when I started to get behind on bills, because I was taking care of her bills and mine. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep up, and got behind. I made arrangements with her creditors and mine, but just as I began to start payments with the arrangements that were made, she had a stroke. That was in March. From there she was hospitalized for a little over a month, and then she was sent to a rehab facility for another month and a half. During this time, I took some time away from work, and wasn’t making any additional money to keep the bills paid. At the same time, or around about, my mortgage payment was increased from $1650 to $2350 due to an escrow shortage for the taxes. Needless to say I wasn’t prepared for the increase and found myself slowly falling behind. Now here I am, three months later, and three months behind with $5,000 due on the escrow shortage or continue paying the larger mortgage payment. I have been looking for( extra) part time, mainly remote, work to help out, but I haven’t had any luck. I would be more than grateful and appreciative if I could get any assistance with this. My name is Tabitha Wynne . I am a single mom of 5 children. I have a full-time job and go to school full-time as well. I am not going to lie my situation can be a little overwhelming but I’m only trying to make ends meet for me and my children. Although I’m not on welfare we do need help in every direction. I try to put in as many hours from work so that my take-home pay can at least look decent for me to spend on buying food, clothes, hygiene products, and shoes. While juggling my paychecks I still try to manage paying my rent & Con-Edison to keep a roof over our heads. I’m doing everything in my willpower to stay strong because we were actually homeless for a year before we moved into our home this year on Feb 01, 2023. We lost our home on March 07 2022 due to an illegal eviction, that could have been dealt with through court although my eviction was never taken to court. After the lockout, I spoke to Legal Aid and was told It was an illegal action that I could have won in court. My housing assistant at the time told me if I proceeded with this case in court I was going to lose my section 8 so that’s why I never took this case in court. Not to mention we lost everything we had and yes I was so angry I cried because at the time I just didn’t know what to do because that was my first time ever losing my home. So me and my children stayed with my mom in a one-bedroom apartment until I was able to find a home for us. Going threw all of this i was and still am a college student . My personal issues was starting to interfere with my schoolwork. I need to stay on point with school just as much as I need to keep my job so I can graduate with a degree and make more money to ease our situation staying in school really means a lot. I’m trying my best to save up enough money and of course, we do not have a car so everything we do depends on taxi services at times I don’t have the money to take a taxi . Honestly, I believe we are blessed by the grace of God and I’m still managing with the little that we do have.
So if you can please find it in your hearts to donate something like clothes, food,Shoes, Money, Books because my kids love books, and a car so we can manage to get around without depending on anyone else. Where we live a car is a must.

Financial Assistance before Eviction
Hello, I hope these words find you all in good health and high spirits. I have a family of 5, we recently moved to a new area due to our landlord selling his rented house in which we were staying. And we have been down on our luck pretty much ever since. Hardship has fallen since the death of my nephew (Son) whom I have had since the day he was brought home from the hospital, died in a car accident. Ever since then, it has been hard to catch up on our rent, and utility bills nor do I have enough money to keep food in the pantry. I have 3 kids in school, and I work very hard to support them. I am a single mom of 2 kids that just moved to the US. Their father and I separated, and he hasn’t done much to help them. I moved here to try to make a better like for me and my kids. I had some saving that I came with but due to unforeseen circumstances like high rent, expenses for the kids, trying to furnish the apartment, trying to pay off debt back home, etc., my funds are basically done, and my paycheck doesn’t really do much.
I got a secondhand bed for the kids, and I sleep on an air matrass. I will get by with that, but I just want to make them comfortable. My name is Li. And I’m asking, literally begging for any financial help to help me pay my rent for this month. I am a hard working young lady that just loves to work! Why? Because it’s what I need to do to survive, to be able to provide, and live. For me, work is my only way. But recently, I had lost my job due to relocation and it’s been very difficult to find a job in the area I am in now, which is how I got scammed. :(
I am from the Bay Area, but due to rent increasing, I had moved to Stockton,CA to help me with rent difficulties. When I had gotten this job, about a year ago, it was such an amazing and interesting job, I decided I was well off enough to pay rent in the Bay again. I was able to move into a unit in April of 2023 and was perfectly on top of all my bills. Then, life took a turn and the job I enjoyed and put all my effort into was gone. We didn’t even get a warning until we arrived for our last shift and was left with nothing but a tap on the shoulder and references.
I was super desperate after losing my job, that I was trying to do any job to make rent. And that’s where I was scammed so easily and didn’t even know. I worked for a “company” for a whole month, inspecting and shipping packages from home. I should’ve known the second I didn’t receive the proper work documents. But again, I was desperate for rent and did the job. Close to my payday, I was blocked all access from my work portal and couldn’t contact any “supervisors” or “managers.” Therefore, I had lost about $3000, (which is enough to cover my rent and utilities), and couldn’t do a thing about it because again, I had no physical evidence of anything but me working for them. So I was back on a job search and have been ever since.
I’d honestly thought by now, I’d have a job. But it’s been very difficult and frustrating, even with the experience, it’s not enough for jobs nowadays. I’m still trying and applying, taking job interview after interview with no response. I have been able to receive some unemployment, but it all goes to saving for rent, I barely have enough for groceries through the week.
Therefore, I am asking and begging for anything that can help me make my rent and bills for this month! :( I really wish I didn’t have to ask but I am literally at my last straw and don’t know what else to do. I came here to start a new life and to grow up to be able to have a good life, help my family to go out of the poverty and help children in the world by investing in their education cuz I’m convicted that the education is the light on our path.
Everything was good until I injured my ankle on 2019 and didn’t get the good treatment. So today I still have lot’s of pain, I spent lot of money to try to find the reason but no doctor could help me. I was obligated to leave two jobs because there were too much stress, and because of the stress my ankle starts to hurt a lot and that blocks my left leg so I can’t even walk. The last job was sooo stressful that I was about to fall in a deep depression. I was working with mental handicapped people.
In France you can get social help when you don’t work. But when you leave your job you don’t have any right. So I was refused for any help. I just couldn’t find other job cuz I needed time to be recovered as emotionally as physically. I was working since my 20 years old and never stopped. Now I’m 29 years old, I can’t find a job, I do small jobs to pay my just bills. I can’t go to a doctor, etc. Just money for bills and basic food. I was so motivated , wanted to grow up, be able to take care of my mom so she’ll not need of anything cuz she retired and she doesn’t have a good monthly retire pay, in Armenia it got so expensive so I’m worry about her.
I’m so passionate of real estate. My dream is to buy an apparemment of 30m2 here in Paris to to rent it to tourists. That will be a great pleasure for me cuz I like the communication with the foreigners and I can practice my four languages Armenian, Russian, English and French. Single mother needs help with bills
I am a single mother raising a 14 year old son. After living with a roommate for 3 years, I was kicked out because he did not add me to his lease and had to get an apt for just my son and I. I have been keeping up with my bills for the most part but now I am getting tighter and tighter on cash. I do not receive any government assistance and I don’t drive so I use Lyft and Uber to go to work. Any type of assistance will help. My rent is $1400, my Lyft and Uber is about $100 weekly, and I spend about $300 on groceries monthly and all utilities and bills are about $200 monthly.

Thank you so much for reading this. Since January 2020, I have had more surgeries than you can shake a stick at. A double mastectomy for breast cancer, brain surgery (two of them!) for sever essential tremor that limited the use of my hands for almost everything (thank heavens, the surgeries were a success), multiple other procedures such as a CT of my heard, multiple brain MRIs, and, because of the Sjogren’s, had to have my remaining teeth pulled and dentures made. I have very recently escaped a 10 year domestic abuse situation and because of this I am in the middle of trying to get back on my feet. I am in the process of looking for a new job as I had to leave my old one and I’m just trying to survive each day.
