Greetings to all the philanthropists. Many big thanks in advance to anyone who decide to help me. I use to donate my time, money and labor to others as well as often as I can. My last food donation for the community was January 2023. Unfortunately, I’ve been having many challenges every since my dad passed late Feb 2023. My only sister passed in late 2021, I took my dad in a week after she passed but placed him in a nursing home for that week and this gave me time to find in home help but I discovered I had May-Thurner syndrome, then the small ulcer on my left ankle became bigger and bigger and my muscle spasms and leg pain increased as well. I had 3 stents place in my pelvis and my in home caregiver left the day after my stent placement, I couldn’t stand up completely straight but what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger right? I was also having my dead veins removed from my left leg to help with the ongoing pain. After the Surgeon explained what it will be like for me after the other 3 leg procedures, I had to place my dad in the nursing facility until after I heal a bit but I of course was still working and having procedures with a few days off work after each procedure. Basically I had the 3 stents put in but 2 more procedures on my left leg. The Vascular Surgeon office, let me go as a patient due to my health insurance not paying but the reality is, my insurance company stated that the Dr. office billing department was billing incorrectly and they submitted a letter to their office explaining this and for them to call them if they need assistance. But instead the Vascular Surgeon billing department emailed me and called me and the insurance company was not happy about this at all. So I have another procedure that needs to get done on my right leg. That was a little over a year ago and it was just yesterday, we (the referral coordinator and I) discuss this matter being resolved so my veins can be monitored by the same physician (and this is my primary physician request) she even called the Vascular Surgeon Dr office a few months ago because she couldn’t believe they let me go due to an issue that was on their end and had nothing to do with me, yep they cancel me a day or two before my schedule procedure in the Surgeon office who I was seeing on a weekly basis due to my wound care progress. I apologize for such long details but this been quite a journey and with my sister gone, I have no one to talk to. And our dad was old enough to be our granddad so I gave myself 5 months to heal before bringing my dad back home but I decided to discharge my dad from the nursing facility after he fell ill and even though I visited my dad 3-4 times a week multiple times a day and brought him home with me when I was able to after the procedures or if COVID restrictions in the facility wasn’t an issue. I sometimes visit my dad just to lay eyes on him and he didn’t know I was there. That could been my 3rd visit. I wasn’t use to being not with him because we all had lived together recently before my sister past. My sister and dad was suppose to move in with me. So after visiting my dad and seeing his food sitting in front of him and him wide awake with his head dropped and too weak to fed himself and the caregiver standing next to me saying Oh yeah, he’s going down now. Then I contacted the VA social worker told them I want my dad out of here ASAP. He’s coming home to be with me. I fed my dad who ate everything and he had to be hungry because he ate both of the dry bread on the plate so then I was exhausting my self more because I was visiting my dad much more to make sure he ate all of his meals when I wasn’t working and within a week he was home with me. The caregivers I interviewed to work with my dad didn’t show up to work nor did they answer their calls, yes it was multiple, so sad how things has become for our geriatric and care in general so the second weekend I had to quit my job and I don’t regret it because for over 24 years I cared for other people and their families I was not going to let my dad not get stellar care giving treatment from me. My boss seem to be understanding, after all, I helped her fill her beds in her facility when COVID was rapid. When her staff left her on the other facility, I stayed to help her with the other facility. I won certificates as a traveling male caregiver throughout Pinellas County. When I had my own non medical agency, we also had high recognition as one of the top 5 providers in the county out of 150 agencies. We was known as the “Emergency Clean Up Agency”. Someone also voted our company the Best Healthcare place to work for in 2010. So the caregiver didn’t realize I was no fool. I know in there mind if someone is on Hospice then once they are sick, they will neglect or rather in there mind consider there days are gone and not attempt to feed or offer them foods. My dad did pass but it was a month later in his home, in his bed, an hour after he ate his lunch and he ate all of his meals every since he came home with me. So my conscious is clean, he sing songs, he watched movies, he was happy to be home with me and that is what matters most to me even now going through everything. But I had to quit my job and my position was placed by 2 caregivers. So yes I am a hard worker. And it is understandable for my ex boss to run her company. My dad passed before I could get any compensation for caring for him through the VA. I used my savings for the care of my dad funeral expenses and our bills and had to hold on for the months ahead until I found another job which I’m still searching for. My mortgage is behind, I was fortunate to get a forbearance but it is almost up, both of my bank accounts are negative with one -$500 something and the other -$600. All of my credit cards are negative. My car has been in the repair shop for 2 months now. First 3 weeks were misinformation from the warranty company not understanding what the repair shop owner was explaining to them, which is “how can I give you a quote for an engine that no longer exist” so I got more involve with them for breaking this information down and making sure it’s documented in car warranty notes, this was almost a 2 weeks process. Yea it was stressful. I called the repair shop owner a few weeks ago, he said I would have my car the following week but that was now 2 weeks ago, he also said during 2 weeks ago he had an emergency surgery on his appendix, I told him I understand life happens I just need to know what’s going on because the car loan company has been calling me so yes my car is 3 months behind payments, tomorrow or by today I need to make a decision to pay my car insurance or just start over. I’m thinking because my water bill is overdue and I barely made my PayPal account payment this month. I have til end of August to catch up on my Mortgage payments and they said I need to pay the rear payments in full. That’s about $8k needed. My credit cards about $9k needed. I shared with Car Loan guy yesterday, it’s less stressful to just give them their car back and I’ll go from there. Something how you can be faithfully making payments for years but miss one or two payments and you can loss what you thought was yours. I just don’t want a suspended license due to type of work I might qualify for. I borrowed $500 from a friend of mine a few weeks ago. So I’m thinking to pay partial water bill and use my ‘bonus points credit card check’ I’ve been holding on to for my car warranty deductible payment to just pay my car insurance in hopes of finding a job within the month. Feels like the car loan are going to take the car regardless and I have prepared my mind for that. The day I purchased $774 of new tires for my vehicle, the engine goes out and I need front brakes badly over $500. I again apologize for such a long story but it’s been one thing after the next. I’m grateful the warranty approved the engine. Thank you for having a platform like this for those of us who find ourselves finally needing help or finding the nerves to finally ask for help. Any help I would be grateful for. Many thanks again.
