I appreciate you even taking the time at this point to read this post. I just want thank you for your consideration.
My wife and I recently moved to Canada. We moved here in July. We love what we’re doing here and I have been blessed being here. I just recently started working as a youth pastor and I love the work that I’m doing. I was born in Canada, but my family moved us to the States when I was just one. Now that I am back in Canada, though I’m not technically new to Canada, some of the banks are willing to consider me that since I haven’t been back in such a long time.
The one problem we are having though is my wife is not Canadian. Since she is not a Canadian citizen, she cannot get a job yet so we don’t have another income coming into the home.We just recently found out she is pregnant as well. We are so happy and blessed. The one thing with her papers to residency is she needs to have a medical exam but she cannot finish it due to needing an x-ray and since she is pregnant, an x-ray could do harm to the baby. She won’t be able to get a job until after June.
We are living in a rental property as of right now and because we have 2 dogs we needed to find a place with a fence so rent is kind of high for us at this point. We would love to buy a home. We love Calgary and would love to settle down here. One of our dreams was to have our own home before the child comes so that all is well set for him or her. We would rather our own home and not a rental so that it feels more at home for us never needing to run into issues with rental. I just want my child to have his or her own room and be well.
Since my wife cannot work, our finances aren’t the tightest at this point. I had to take a trip and it incurred some debt from my credit card. I spoke to a mortgage consultant and she explained that since I have little to no credit so far in Canada i just have to get this one credit card as low as possible.
It’s difficult to get it down since basically all that I get paid goes to rent, bills and household groceries, gas, etc.
Also I had to pay off $1500 to get my car fine tuned in order to have it fully functional here in Canada when I crossed the border. There were just a lot of payments that I had to make and certain debts incurred.
I’m just asking for up to $5000 to be able to help pay down this credit card and help with down payment to our home. In doing so:
- My credit score will raise
- I’ll have a better chance at Buying a home
- We would have a home for our child
I’m really hoping we can receive this just to help get things back on track fully and for us to be able to move from renting and buy a home. Thank you for your support in advance. It will help us be able to establish ourselves much better.
Just think of this as a baby shower gift for a stranger. Thank you.
Blessings to you and I hope you have a wonderful day.
