Thank you to anyone that may read and consider this request. I am a father of seven wonderful kids. I had three from a previous marriage and my wife also had three from a previous relationship. After we were married we had an “oops” baby and she 100% completed our little “Brady Bunch”. My wife and I are in our late 30’s and both are employed. She is a paramedic and I work at a local factory. We have a small home which we are very grateful to have. It was my grandparents home built in 1958 and my mother was raised here. The house is in need of several updates including: septic, heat and ac, windows and electrical. The list could go on but any homeowner can make a list like that. We are rapidly out growing our home. We currently have two 13 year old boys, a 12 year old girl, a 12 year old boy, a 7 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. The oldest is 20 and has moved on to live with his girlfriend. We have tried and tried to find the means to do an addition to our home to make more space for the kids as well as get the necessary updates listed above. We do not have enough equity in our home to make all of this happen and while I do have some construction knowledge, I am not able to take on this endeavor alone. The addition we have had drawn up will be close to doubling the size of our home. It would give each child their own bedroom plus add an additional full bathroom and half bathroom. The kitchen would be remodeled to allow for enough space to have a family dinner table added because my wife and I would love to be able to sit down for dinner each night with the kids and be able to use that time to find out how things are going in each of their lives. The cost involved in all of this is great. The addition and updates will be near $100,000. That being said as well my wife and I would like to ask for an additional $150,000 to pay off the mortgage completely so that we may be able to use the money saved from that expense to give our children a life we never had as children. A comfortable life. I have worked for everything that I have and am very blessed to have a healthy and happy family. My wife and I are simply not able to find a way to make this happen without asking for a donation. Once the work is completed and all the changes are complete, we would welcome any donor to come and see what they made possible for our family. Thank you so much for the time you’ve taken to read this and have a blessed day.
