Best Place to Give Money
My husband died about three years ago after a very long and costly illness. We had a child late in life, and his father’s death hit him very hard. I was fortunate to have a job, but it just was not enough and as time passed, it became apparent that I could not keep up my mortgage payments.
Guess I was blind, but my son fell in with the wrong people and soon was supporting a raging drug habit. By the time I realized what was happening, he had robbed me of thousand’s of dollars. Even though he is clean now, he desperately needs treatment, but has no job or insurance, and I have not been able to find any inpatient treatment for him.
I had to give up my house and sell my possessions to survive. I was blessed enough to find a small rental house in a decent neighborhood. Unfortuntely, my bills wipe out my paycheck every month, and I find myself without enough food and gas. I have tried everything I know of to generate more income. I have sold my most precious possessions on ebay (can’t eat china and jewelry)and did make some headway, but for at least a few more months I cannot see any way to survive. I even tried writing a book, but that did not work.
I am not lazy, and work very hard and never thought I would be in this position, and would not even consider doing this if I could find any other option. However, being hungry is an incentive to do whatever you have to do to eat. The transmission in my car decided to die, and I cannot affort to get it fixed. I am driving an old car that rides like a covered wagon, but so far it has gotten me where I am going.
Not asking for a house, car or anything like that. I just need a little money to help with groceries and gas for a little while till I can get caught up. I have reached the point where I decided to clip coupons to help buy groceries. Wrong! That stuff on television about couponing just doesn’t work. I have no groceries in the house, and no gas to get any if I had the money to go to the store.
I guess I should count my blessings, because I do have a roof over my head and electricity, and a job, though that is not guaranteed for long, and that’s more than a lot of people can say. If I do not get a cent, maybe I will get the prayers of the people who may read this, and that would certainly be appreciated. God has given me many miracles, and I know that he works through people. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
