Hello Readers and Donors,
Let me begin by saying thank you for taking the time reading our story.
My wife and I both 38 years old, married for more than 12 years now are been trying to have a baby. For years we tried but find ourselves unsuccessful and in most times disappointed. Then It went to the point that we decided to go see a fertility doctor a couple of years ago. After a careful evaluation and some series of tests, the doctor came to a conclusion that our only option is to do an In Vitro due to age and other factors. Knowing that there is hope, we decided to go through it even if our insurance does not cover the treatment and medications. Then the sad news came. The treatment was unsuccessful due to not having enough eggs to fertilize. The heartbreaking news had left us emotionally hurt, confused, and depressed due to the hard process and the money we spent.
The whole treatment and medication cost us around $20,000 which we decided to put in our credit card knowing that we are able to pay it back in less than one year. Then the unfortunate happened, I loss my job a month after. Since then we were only able to pay the minimum payment through our savings and my wife’s paycheck on top of our household bills and food which we had to cut back. Our savings was almost depleted.
About six months ago, I was able to secure a job but not nearly as good paying as my previous one. So we are still in the minimum as far as our monthly credit card payment, which led us here seeking for donors who are kind enough to help put our finances back together after a long journey of disappointments, hardship, and stress.
We still owe nearly $17,000 in our credit card.
Thank you for your time.
