I am a 41 year old single woman. I am in need of assistance to get out of debt so that I can move forward toward my goals and get my life back on track. I have been through a lot during the past year and no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to keep my head above water.
In January 2018, I suffered a miscarriage of the only pregnancy I have ever had. Just six weeks prior, my fiancee had broken up with me and I have never heard from him since; he doesn’t even know I lost the baby. The day after I miscarried, I was rushed back to the hospital because of hemorrhagic bleeding and had to undergo emergency surgery and receive a blood transfusion. That was on a Wednesday. On Friday, I received notice that my job had been terminated at the company I had worked at for 13 years. I fell into a deep depression and things were really bad for a while. In July 2018, I was able to obtain a new position making much less than my previous job. I have also been working a second job on-line to make up the difference.
During the time I was unemployed, I fell behind on my car payments and I am at risk of my car being repossessed. I am one month behind in rent and don’t have the extra money to catch up. I am paying my electric and water one month past due perpetually. I am in debt to the IRS and my student loans are in default. I am trying to get a deferment on student loans. I don’t have credit card debt and I am thankful for that. I cannot get a loan because of my credit troubles. I don’t have the money to add another monthly payment to the IRS to help resolve that debt. I can’t pay the hospital or ambulance service from the miscarriage. I just want to be able to breath easy again. I am trying as hard as I can.
