I chose to put my medical and monthly bills on a card starting two years ago when I was injured so the doctors were paid before collections started. The interest accrued but I continually worked at it. Then the card helped a great deal with monthly bills and gas for all the Hershey medical needs and trips since I get very limited assistance from my spouse. I concentrated on my daughter’s continuing health problems as I worked toward graduate school requirements instead of employment. I also started a communication server as a graduate school student project for my course study on working with bright and less fortunate students who learn better through technology. I named my nonprofit tutoring business to provide assistance to them and help them succeed through subjects with organization and learning strategies, and looking at future options. For most of them, it was just the moment of realization for all the effort and gave them a passing score no matter the middle school to college level grade range.
Now, not counting high school loans, I have one very large bill ($18000) I am still trying to reduce without a loan or chance at paying a higher amount and many options were researched that I do not qualify for. My mom helps pay bills. This is a first chance and short term request asking for funds to help with one bill. I would like to help others who ask for a chance, after this bill is paid off. I will submit payments to the bill as often as possible. I also plan to sub teach on the one day I am not doing my field experience hours from August to April. I continue to tutor students that cannot pay, pass my classes, pay toward this bill, and be there for my little girl with medical appointments with a semi open schedule to help her with school starting soon. I get asked why I paid the medical bills and I say I want a teaching job where I live. I am asked why I am not tutoring and I say I am. I am asked why I don’t get loans and I say my school loans are high with a credit issue during my injury. Would you have made the same choices I did with very limited resources?
Thank you for showing interest in my cause. I hope to hear from you.
