I am 30. Diagnosed with 3 chronic autoimmune diseases (Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Lyme, CSUw/angioedema). There are 3 healthcare providers that I was covered for by my state insurance, then once I was approved for disability, there is a new rule that forces you to have Medicare after 24 months. Now none of the providers are covered for and I have been fighting to get help from insurance for months to no avail. My health has already declined since I was unable to continue with these healthcare providers. I can provide more image proof if needed. Below I listed the 3 providers, the cost of service, what they were helping me with and my once a month disability check amount and my living expenses.
~ Vision Therapy; $145 -per 1 hr session, scheduled 2x a week, $560 full Neuro-opthamology vision testing and consult with doctor scheduled once every 6 months. This is a specialized field that this innovative office is bringing to light, there are ways to improve sight without the need for glasses, surgery, and/or you may not even need glasses but most places will just take a minor look and guess that a pair would help. I could read but couldn’t remember majority or anything that I just read no matter how many times I did it. I was diagnosed with ADHD. This doctor found that I was mentally suppressing the sight of one eye, my brain trying to protect itself from the strain of trying to use both eyes, will shut one down. I had no clue, I thought I just had bad memory. Also diagnosed 7 vision disorders. With therapy and hmwk my disorders improved, ability to read, write, walk, and remember improved. ~Jaw Therapy- idk the exact cost but it was too much for out-of-pocket. I was diagnosed with Arthritis level TMJ and this place would do and teach me different techniques to work on loosening the tension around my jaw and neck. They used professional physical therapy tools that you can’t buy to do moist heat therapy & TENS machine muscle relaxation.
~Nutritionist- Insurance does cover a dietician but they gave me basic healthy foods information and what not to consume with certain medication. -__- Yeah my stomach still hurt. I’ve had 3 and all the same result. I consulted with a nutritionist and went over bloodwork, disease specific intolerance, vitamin deficiency, and to get a full diet plan is $500 and follow ups are $125.
I would like to go back to my Naturopathic Doctor- This is a natural medicine advocate type of legally licensed medical physician. Yet, no insurances cooperate with them because they actually help people, if your not staying sick the prescription drugs aren’t making the country money. This was my final ditch effort to get better I paid with my credit card to get services the visits were 275, then 183, through a real full blood work up he found a parasitic infection and traces of every infection I ever had stuck in my small intestines. Medication cost 350+275monthly. Ran out of credit before my treatment process was fully completed and bloodwork reassessed. I have not seen this physician since January. I’m going to assume I’m okay without his services but after 29 years of being sickly he found what no other physician did. I just don’t want to ask for too much.
Because I was young and only worked for a certain amount of years when approved for disability my monthly pay is highly insufficient. It was only $950 a month now $1033 due to cost of living adjustment. Welp my bills or cost of living each month total $892 leaving me with the $141 to splurge with for a whole month. Please someone, anyone, help me out if you can. I want to get better! I want to be able to work! I want to go back to the young pretty socialite I used to be before my hair loss & diagnosis! I am tired of the dizziness, drowsiness, severe stinging/stabbing pain, lack of appetite, fainting spells from repositioning, light sensitivity, tremors, burning sensation, freezing cold chills, numbness so bad I can’t feel when I accidentally burn or cut myself, bad recollection of memory or awareness of where I am, and not being able to drive my own car because I can’t control any of this😔. AS LONG AS I AM ALIVE, I CHOSE HOPE, I CHOSE FAITH THAT I CAN AND WILL GET BETTER ❤️🕊✨ I know I need help getting there, so here I am.
