Hello, I have made some financial mistakes in the past with credit cards and am now facing the consequences.
It all started off fine, make pretty decent money and worked hard to keep my credit up to par. I started getting credit offers, and on the cards that made sense I would get one and make small purchases and pay off in a few months. I started off with a few Visas and later received a few department store cards. Later we received a bank credit card with a large limit for if a emergency came up and later took out a line of credit to purchase a commuter car in 2014, which is now on its last legs. I am keeping that going as there is no way I could make a payment on a different car.
Slowly but surely these cards are now really close to being maxed out, with the high payments of the cards, utilities, rent, pet emergencies, food, auto and other repairs it always seems we are taking money from the line of credit to make ends meet. It’s like taking from Peter to pay Paul every month. The
The icing on the cake is I couldn’t escape the family curse of diabetes. The price of prescriptions for that has put everything over the top and am sinking fast. I have cut most luxuries, cut up all high interest cards, and am doing the Suze Orman suggestion of focusing on paying extra one card, minimum on the rest but it is not helping. Right now it seems like if my head gets above water there is always something there is there to push it back down.
I plan on attacking high interest cards, 1 at a time then rolling that payment into another card when it is paid off, or to help pay for my medications and focus that extra money towards credit cards. I don’t like to ask for help but feel I must now, I am swimming in debt and am about to drown in it. I have been irresponsible with credit cards and made many mistakes but if anyone can help me with a few bills I would be forever grateful. I have learned the hard way from my mistakes and am asking for any help possible.
Help doesn’t always have to come in the form of money, I am also open to any suggestions you may have any that can help me out, I am always open to new info.
