Need Help Recovering From Hospital Bills From Diagnosis of Schizoaffective DIsorder With Mania

My name is Billy D.  Johnson.  I’m a 36 year old man suffering from Schizoaffective Disorder with Mania (as well as depression and ADD).  I’ll start from the top.  In the year 2013, I was reading my bible.  At the time I was very religious and studying to further my knowledge.  One day I read a verse in the book of Galatians about “walking in the spirit”.  As soon as I read that verse, I felt different.  I would later find out this was mania.  I thought I was a prophet sent to save the world.  I rushed home to my mother who lived an hour away to tell her what I had found out.  Immediately, she knew something was wrong but didn’t know what.  They took me to a mental hospital.  This would be my first of ten hospital admissions over the next 7 years.  My hospital stay was strange; things happened to me to this day that I still can’t explain.  After months of counseling and medicine trials, I was able to return to work temporarily.  After working, I would be hospitalized every few months and have to leave my coworkers hanging.  I hated this but I had no choice.  Medical bills began stacking up because I had maxed out my visits to the hospital staying 2 weeks at a time and my insurance would cover most but I would end up owing anywhere from $2,500-$5,000 out of pocket each time I’d max out a visit.  Keep in mind that I had 10 admissions.  Most of my bills have now gone to collections and ruined my credit.  I’m trying to get my life together.  My Psychiatrist says I’m high-functioning considering all I’ve been through but I am no longer able to work unfortunately.  This also caused me to get behind on debt.  I was approved for disability in the year of 2017.  That helps but it only is enough for my current bills; I’m getting nowhere trying to pay down my medical bills and outstanding debt.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated and used to pay down as much of my debt as possible.  I have a vehicle that is on its last leg and will be needing a new one soon as I take care of my grandma and bring her to her doctor’s visits and grocery shopping.  I am currently living with my grandma staying in her spare room.  I’m on disability and I sleep with a night light on because as I mentioned before, I have hyper-religious delusions.  Some nights I see what appears to be the devil or his demons on my walls or in the bed trying to harm me.  The other night it felt like a demon was stabbing me in the stomach with a dull knife all night long.  This makes it very hard to sleep in a room by myself.  Even with a light on, it gets very scary for me.  I also suffer with a condition called Sleep Paralysis.  Sleep Paralysis means your mind is awake and alert but your body is paralyzed.  It’s often accompanied with terrible hallucinations which is even worse for me because I have tactile hallucinations meaning I can physically feel the hallucination happening to me.  I’ll never be like I was when I was 27 and healthy because I’ve gained 150 pounds in 7 years because the medicines I take cause weight gain and I can’t stop eating, but I am going to try to get my life in order the best way possible.  Paying down my hospital debt would be a good start.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and please keep me in your thoughts even if you choose not to donate because I have had a rough life since August of 2013.  If I did everything correctly, there should be a picture of my debt from Credit Karma as well as a picture of me before I became mentally ill.  Thank You!
