My son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphcytic Leukemia in February of this
year. I am a single mother and work two jobs so I am over the income bracket
in order to receive Medicaid. We need extreme help for his treatment, as the
hospital, oncologist, and pediatrician will not help us any longer because
we are so behind in payments. We’ve tried to put him in a children’s
hospital nearby but there is a conflict of interest because a family member
He needs high dose chemotherapy and they told us a month ago maybe a stem
cell transplant. I’m scared of clinical trials because he watched his little
7 year old friend die after going through it.
His father will not help us and has nothing to do with his child. My parents
have used all their savings to pay what so far has amounted to $46,500.
My 4 year old son keeps asking me what we are going to do and often at
bedtime asks me if he is going to wake up.
I’m at the end of my rope. I’ve tied the knot but I don’t know how much
longer I can hold on.
My son means the world to me. Please help me as much as you can. I would
appreciate it more than you know.
