Hello, my name is Deboruah Madonna. I am fundraising for myself. I have inflammatory breast cancer stage 4. It is a rare cancer that ultimately results in death. I’ve have survived almost 4 years and still going strong. My husband and I have paid for all my medical with the help of insurance. But insurance doesn’t cover everything. I had to retire in April after 35 years of working at a children’s shelter. I’ve gone through 6 months of chemotherapy and 4 months of radiation, hysterectomy and a double mastectomy. The chemo left me with severe neuropathy in my calves, feet and hands. I recently got the go ahead to get the Bariatric Sleeve. My insurance will not cover it. If I can get this weight loss operation it will help with my ability to walk, have less pain and improve my self esteem. It has not been easy for me but I still have a lot of life in me. This will give me some a better quality of life. I try to enjoy everyday. This is something I really want to do for my health and hopefully get a few more years of life. Anything will help.
