When I first heard the news that I was going to need bunion surgery, my first thought was about how I was going to pay for it. After researching the costs and speaking with my insurance provider, I realized that I was going to need to find a way to cover the bills for at least four months. I’m going to share my story with you and hope that you will help me while I’m going through the bunion surgery.I tried Seeking financial assistance options
When I learned that I needed bunion surgery, I knew it would come with a hefty price tag. I was already struggling to pay my bills on time, so I quickly realized I needed to seek financial assistance options.
The first step I took was reaching out to my health insurance provider to determine what procedures were covered and what my out-of-pocket costs would be. I also spoke with my healthcare provider to understand if there were any financing options available.
Next, I researched and applied for any grants or financial aid programs that I was eligible for me. No options were available for someone on Social Security My wife’s SS and mine together only pay our rent which went up $700 per month this crazy year I hope and pray with the help we get will ease the financial burden so I can get the surgery, the Doctors say it will be at least 4 months before I can go back to work.
Overall, if I get this financial assistance it allowed me to focus on my recovery without the added stress of unpaid bills. I’ve senes I was 15 and now 75 and hope it’s okay to ask for help when you really need it.
