Maria Johnson started life as an ordinary child up until her teens when all of a sudden her life changed for the worst and she developed a large Tuma in her head and neck.
She went through sevearal major surgeries to remove the cancer and had nerves taken from other areas of her body to replace feeling in her neck and cheek leaving her severly scarred for life down one side of her body. Even with all this going on she fought through it all and had been cleared of the cancer untill she recently hit 50yrs old.
Maria kept getting dizzy spells and repeatidly went to her GP to complain about them. He was not much help and diagnosed her ear canal from her previous surgery was very narrow and caused a build up of wax that was causing the problem. She had several appointments cancled by nurses saying there was nothing in her ear, untill Maria argued the pain was getting unbearable and to do something, when they finaly did they clearded the wax giving Maria some form of releif.
However the dizzy spells remained and finally she was sent to St georges hospital to have a CT scan, this was when she got the news the dreaded tumer was back and in exactly the same place as before. Since this news she has been back and forth to the Marsden and St Georges Hospital for disscussions on the next form of action which has taken over six months for them to act. Maria has slowly become more and more fatigued.
She has been told the Tumer cannot be removed this time as its in a very dodgy place near her brain which would be too risky to opperate. So instead they have suggested chemo and medication to deal with treating only the symptoms of the cancer. This means Maria will have to live with this for the rest of her life growing slowly inside her head.
In the meantime she has a daughter aged 8 who passed out in hospital this week due to worry and not eating right because she is so worried about her mums illness. And now Maria has to give up work and can no longer collect or take her child to school as the journey is too much for her. The bills are mounting up with hospital visits – parking – rent and its all getting too much to cope with even with the small amount of benefits and grants available.
She needs this help now!!
This money can do one thing for her which is take away the financial worry and stress so she can concentrait on getting through Chemo and getting better for her daughter.
Please Help Maria by making a small donation NOW!!!! It doesn’t have to be a lot as it all adds up. Thank you.
