My name is Keisha and I’m unavailable to pay some of my bills due to Corona causing Job lost. My husband is one of the many people who lost their job and my disability benefits are small. Still have to pay mortgage and food for the kids. I’m Physically Disabled with PTSD and agoraphobia, Hyperacusis and tinnitus. I also have mobility issues which i have to purchase other aids to help me get around better. I have nerve damage in my leg and due to my foot drop, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome type 2. I’m in constant pain daily and our bills are running up causing my anxiety and panic attacks to flare up more. I’m also in need of a total ankle & Knee replacement surgery which is very expensive and the insurance company said it’s a high risk so it won’t be covered.
Total Ankle Replacement (also called ankle arthroplasty) is a surgical option for patients with arthritis of the ankle. This operation can relieve pain and maintain motion in the arthritic ankle joint and is an alternative to arthrodesis (ankle fusion) which can relieve pain but eliminates motion in the joint. Although it does not have the same long-term track record of hip or knee replacement, shorter-term studies on ankle replacement look very promising.
